Hey all,

I've been building this mod comparison site for a few weeks now, just added vape mod #100 to it. Would be great to get some feedback from you lot on what is working and what can be improved upon.

Pluses
The site looks nice - simple and organized and appears to load quickly. That's very important for a website.

Cons
The navigation
I tried the compare and it did work but it is on the first tab under the brands. I selected 2 and the comparison was there and it worked but it is not under the compare tab and if you switch to the compare tab and go back to the first tab the comparison is gone.

Suggestions
--Improve navigation. Maybe combine the first 2 tabs and call it "Compare Brands" or "Brand Comparison" since the comparison tab alone doesn't do anything. Also - if you can easily add it when you add items to compare maybe you can have a + button.
--For the guide tab - maybe rename it - find your perfect vape - or selection tool - guide makes me think of a how to.
--Not sure if it is a caching issue but once you click off a tab it empties - I think it would be more effective if the comparison stays there until the customer leaves or hits a clear button
-- I assume you are going to monetize your site with adsense or other ads - I would consider removing these 2 intro line

Don't use NOT - bad connotation./ Who cares what you are NOT. People care what you are.

I guess you have to use next for search results?
We are your next source of vaping information

If you did not have to use it for branding ---- suggestions would be The best source, most comprehensive, #1 source, the source of vaping information. .... next sounds a bit odd to me.

I'm glad you are enjoying your project and I guess it's an interesting idea. I think there are reviewers already doing it (Anthony someone puts up comparisons I believe) but it's a neat idea. It's a bit buggy still and really if I were to recommend anything, to be brutally honest, I'm unlikely to buy vape gear based on the opinion of one person but I like the idea of being able to search and compare.

I love comparing things - do it with new phones and tablets. Seeing a side by side comparison of mods is a great feature of your site.

This is just a side project for me, working on it on and off from time to time, mainly using it as learning about web development / React
The biggest timeslump has been keeping track of products and pricing, and I started automating part of that (scrapers etc.). The benefit is the site can be more up to date without day-to-day effort.
There are some bits I want to improve (mainly the guide / filter bit, because searching through a huge collection of mods is hard).
I don't think this site will ever replace things like this forum or the more expert reviewers, but it's more something that can live on top of these. Maybe we could do something on the review side like rottentomatoes (e.g. what do all top reviewers think about this mod, with links to their sites).
