Yes I build...I don't use prebuilt coils at all.but I don't have any mech mods yet .I have 4 box mods a handfull of RTA an a few rda...but I still feel like I should stock up on a few more tanks an mods just in case...what y'all think about getting repair parts if this all goes through
I wouldn't worry about that at all. Anybody who can use hand tools can build a mod, at least a mech mod. It's not hard. And, oddly enough, I don't think kits you assemble yourself will be regulated.

I am in the same boat @steam heat . The cost of juice was not that big of concern, so I DIY is/was low on my priorities. But, I did a lot of reading for familiarity. I started a list and have been starting to acquiring gear. So far,
I have acquired two liters of 100mg nic. I could get 3mg (my norm), but it just means I will use less of it because it is so strong. Therefore, a liter should last me 5+ years. Also, I got brown glass bottles to break down the liters into small usable bottles. Once everything gets frozen, I will just keep one 125ml brown bottle out of the freezer to use for making.

I am also getting lots of little juice bottles, a set of beakers and 1ml, 5ml, and 20ml Leur Lock needles. Also, found a pretty small funnel (tough to find).

I started getting my flavorings.

Everything is stored in darkness except the nic, and that is in the dark freezer.

I anticipate making one "flavor" at a time, but I am looking for probable ingredients.

Still learning, still preparing. I have about 500ml of vendor juice, so I have a bit of time.

Hope helps. Much more in the DIY forum.

Yeah I've been hearing about how Americans won't be able to get ejuice like "within the next couple weeks" since I joined the forum. :)
Yes, the sky has been falling for a long time. I think a big part of the problem is that most people didn't quite understand the process and timeline, I know I didn't, still don't completely, though I have a better grasp now.

The fact is though, the deeming regs are in the second to last step, being reviewed by the OMB. The last step is becoming law. While it is not certain what will happen, it doesn't look good.

Some who really did know how long the process would take probably could have done a better job of expressing that, but I really can't fault them. Which would motivate you more, if I said vaping could disappear at the end of a 5 year process, or it could disappear any time now?

Some people seem to have trouble dealing with uncertain risks. You don't wait until you think you are about to make a claim before getting insurance. It's a lot easier to put a couple liters away than spend endless time worrying about it and trying to predict an uncertain future. And when it becomes obvious that nic supplies are threatened it won't be the right time to be stockpiling it. You won't want to risk being in line with a couple million vapers scrambling for the last nic.

We're talking about $100 or less to put away two liters. That's the cost of about 5 ounces of final juice. I'm surprised so many people spend so much time thinking about this and not just doing something.
