I don't know where to start...I quit cigs 6 weeks ago. Now I keep hearing about not being able to get juice anymore in the near future... So I guess I need to start thinking about diy juices, but have no clue where to start...if anyone can point me in the right direction as far as getting started with nic base and what I will need to do to be prepared for this I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks in advance.

Pretty much everything you might want to know can be found here: DIY E-Liquid
and if you don't find what you're looking for, that's the best place to ask.

Depending on where you live, there may not be an immediate threat to availability, but that could change fairly quickly. Most people believe that once the new rules come into effect, there will be a grace period. Of course there is no guarantee that anything will be available during that grace period.

If you have not already done so, in addition to figuring out what to stock up on, you should join CASAA and try to help keep vaping alive.

All you need to do in the short run is get some 100 mg nic in the freezer. The last time I checked myfreedomsmokes.com had a sale, 1 liter for $30. I have 3 liters in the freezer in amber glass bottles, that's enough to hold me for 10 years. My brother vapes 2 ml per day of 12mg nic. One of those bottles would last him 10 years. There is some homework you need to do but the reward is you save money. My cost of ingrediants for unflavored e liquid is one cent per ml. My cost of ingrediants for a year supply of flavored is less than $30.

^^^^^ good advice. And if you are not confident now about handling 100mg nic, I would suggest buying a liter or two anyway, and just stick it in the freezer in the plastic bottles it comes in. You can better deal with it later after you get some experience, which shouldn't take long. You might also buy a bottle of 24mg or so just to get your feet wet and get comfortable with DIY. The rest of the stuff is commodity material that should be available post vapocalypse.

First thing, get some nic in the freezer. I buy mine from MyFreedomSmokes, but there are other good vendors. I personally have three liters of the stuff, which I estimate to be about 10 lifetimes worth. Also buy now some RTAs and a mech mod tube or two, plus as many regulated mods, the tanks you like and coils for them, as your budget will allow. With nic, a couple of decent mech tubes and some RTAs, you'll be set. Everything else needed will not be regulated; batteries, wire, cotton, PG, VG, flavors and so on. And try not to worry too much. If they actually manage to get the regs written, and they stick around past the court date/next election, I anticipate a lively black market, exactly like the "other stuff" we don't talk about is freely available on every street corner, despite having been outlawed for simple possession for decades and a century in some cases. You won't even need a "dealer." Gear and even juice will still be freely available from China and, depending on how they write the law, it might not even be unlawful to order is as they aren't going to outlaw simple possession, just sale without a license and an FDA approval. OK, you might lose some to customs, but have you ever thought about how many parcel post packages hit the US from China every day? It's utterly beyond their capability to police all that traffic if CBP was 10 times its size. Still, you don't want Chinese juice though, so get some nic in the freezer.

By all means, learn to diy, but no need to freak out yet imo. If the leaked deemings are any indication, there is a two year grace period. That is if it is not sent back to the FDA and is adopted as is. Even then lawsuits will almost certainly be filed. All hope is not lost yet.

Wow ...thank you so much @sofarsogood.....I don't know if this is the right place for this but can y'all give me a quick Lil rundown of how to mix an how this works I'm clueless( I use .6 in my tank an I drip .3) as to how to get my nic at the right lv an again thank you both so much!
I use eJuiceMeUp to do calculations (google it). But for the nic, if you use 100mg, then the percentage of nic you add to the juice equals the concentration in milligrams. So 6mg = 6% and 3mg = 3%. For accurate measurement I would source some syringes in various sizes - 1, 10 and 30ml is what I use. You really need to spend some time in the DIY subforum here, per a couple of links above.

You don't have to be an expert at anything to store some bottles in the freezer. I made a little project out of figuring out the minimum supplies of vape specific items I would want to be self sufficient for 10 years. The cost I come up with is $500 and everything fits in a brief case. Along the way I would be buying VG, PG, flavors, some batteries, and other generic items. Don't panic. Just put some nic in the freezer then start learning about how to use it.

Good advice @suprtrkr that is exactly what I intend to do! I sure hope this don't happen but if it does I wanna be ready for it.... The last thing I wanna do is have them snatch this out from under me I love to vape but am a Lil scared if I became unable to get juice I would be likely to slip back to cigs. I just wanna be prepared for the worst.I appreciate all the advice and welcome any new advice anyone is willing to give I'm all ears

I am personally fond of the ECigVape Juice Mixing Station calculator set. There's about 6 or 8 of them, from super simple to one designed to "rescue" bad juices by downmixing them into others.

Place a Fasttech order for minimum pricing: get 2 or 3 Nemesis Clone mech mods; pick one with a 5star rating, finish is optional. Order a package of 10 switch magnets for them. If you're a MTL tootle puffer, get 2 or 3 Kayfun clones, any one of them will do and if you get one that has a plastic or stainless center section you won't have to worry about breaking the glass. If you direct lung hit, let me suggest the Lemo2; it's an excellent and flexible single coil tank (all of the above assumes you are not a mekkie or a builder; if you are, you probably already have the gear). And get some nic in the freezer :)

There are some very informative posts about how to store and handle nic for the long run. Someone will refer you to those posts. Your challenge right now is to become not-a-smoker. You don't want to over complicate things.

Figure out how many ml of liquid you are vaping daily. Multiply that time the mg of nic in your liquid. For me that's 7 ml of liquid X 12 mg of nic = 72 mg of nic per day. (1 cigarette yeild's 1 mg of nic. A 1 liter bottle of 100 mg nic has 1000 ml X 100 mg of nic = 100,000 mg of nic. So that's the same as 5,000 packs of cigarettes. In michigan that many cigarettes cost $30,000. Nicotine concentrate is a very good deal. You want some. Back to my case. 100,000 mg of nic / 72 = 1389 days / 365 days in a year = 3.8 years. If your daily nic is less than mine the bottle will last longer. Are you gettin it?

I hate to nit pic but you are at 84mg per day, not 72 :)

Do you realize you are "smoking 4 PAD worth of nic"? Sometimes I wonder about that rule of thumb! Anyway the real reason I chimed in here is that @steam heat has only been fully quit for 6 weeks and probably has no idea where he'll be a year from now. I know my nic use evolved over that first year and still is. Not sure of the right answer on that one, it depends how big his freezer is :)

They have replacement parts for your tanks at fasttech. I plan on getting some for mine, along with more tanks and mods. I have 1 1/2 liters of 100mg nic in the freezer and plan on getting a couple more. Diy is a lot easier than it may seem at first. And it is very rewarding also. As long as you prepare you will be okay. I'm glad you found vaping before the fda gets its way.
