New member here.
Been smoking for 30+ years. Started vaping about a month ago, and threw out my analogs within a couple of days.
My starting setup is a protank 3, got some spinners, and recently got a sigelei VW.
Anyways, today (just now) I built my first coil  28G 12 turns on 5/64 1.7ohm, wicked with Rayon.

Wow, instant addiction Absolutely no need or desire to go back to the analogs.

Now I can't wait till I get the time tonight to build my Kayfun 3.1 that I also got 2 days ago.
You guys have a great community here, keep it up, and thank you

Welcome to rebuildables. The kayfun 3.1 is a great device. I suggest (because I like the analog draw) get down to 1.3-1.5 ohm and you might find the draw a little better. BUT if you like what you have now keep it going. I just found that as a I got down closer to 1 ohm I liked the draw better (and better flavor).

VAPE ON!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure that is in my future. First I need to get comfortable (and safe) before I venture into lower ohms

I just completed day 8 from analogs to vaping. I see myself QUICKLY becoming a hobbyist. I've added new tanks, different batteries and 4 different "favorite" flavors in just a week. No desire in any way to go back. I've found cinnamon and menthol as one of my all time favorites. I hated menthol analogs but it adds a nice kick to the flavors. Welcome. I'm over 120.00 in a week building my collection.

Congrats on your venture too. I still have one tank set up with menthol 16mg at ready. It served well at those times I wanted an analog. Don't have to use it any more, and I dropped my nic level a bit. Will have to drop it a bit more. With this custom coil, I think the nicotine is overwhelming me a bit. (I'm calling it a custom coil because "DIY" doesn't do it justice)
Also no desire to go back to the stinkies. And they really stink. Now I can smell a smoker 1/2 block away.
I have no idea how my wife and kids put up with the foul smell left on clothing and hair for so long. How the heck could my wife kiss me.
Come to think of it, the kissing part got much better since I switched :D

Actually I tried quitting before. Every time I would gain weight. Not so with vaping. Started exercising more and better diet. I'm actually loosing weight.
