Hello ECF community, I'm JethroBowdien from NH. I've smoked ciggs for 20 years and recently went to the local smoke shop to get educated on e-cigs. I walked out with a Kanger protank 3 mini on some sort of small battery which has no name or number on it at all and a charger and a bottle of e-juice, nicotine flavored and 12% nic. That was 2 weeks ago and I haven't smoked a cig once since. I knew this would be possible because I also use dry herbs, have for decades and about 2 years ago discovered vaporizing. A month ago my buddy came over and wanted to enjoy some dry herbs and asked me for my pipe, I had no idea where it was because I haven't seen it in months. vaping herbs is 100% better than smoking, and now I have decided to go 100% vapor. It was the right choice, I enjoy it quite a bit.

Anyway, that is my story and I am sticking to it.

I am finding the world of e-cigs tough to navigate in a way. I'm the kind of guy that does a zillion hours of research before I make any purchase, and often purchase online, but the e-cig world is so confusing. I am at the point where I want a nice battery, something better than the small thing I currently have, but I am lost. I watch youtube vids and find one that I think looks cool, then I go to the site to discover it's made by some guy in Austria and it's a 10 month waiting time but pay now and... yeah, that ain't happening. So I guess I will stick to my local smoke shop.

Thanks for having me!

Welcome to vaping, and ecf. For a better battery, and cheaper than the local B&M, you might start checking out some of ecf's approved suppliers. At the top of the page, click on the "Forum Suppliers" tab. Look thru some of the sites for mods.
If you have a local B&M, one that is not just a cig shop with a few cheap e-cigs on the side, they will be more expensive than on line vendors, but there you can see, and touch the different pv's before buying. If they have a juice bar, you can also sample juices before buying.
Look up your area here and see what B&M's may be near you. Official E-Cigarette Directory

Good luck! :)
