Hi all,

Need some advice. Thinking about buying my first mod. Been looking at the Vamo V5 or the Sigelei Zmax V3 Telescopic. Any advice would be appreciated.

I recommend the e-LVT. It's built like a tank and can charge your cell phone! It also has a floating 510 center pin so that poorly designed attys like the KF will fire on it. It also uses a removable 18650 battery, or you can charge it through the USB.

I got a Sigelei zmax v3 flat-top back in April, and I'm completely in love with it. Completely reliable, workhorse of a mod. There are a couple things to know about it, though -- if you get one of these, BE SURE to check that it's in RMS rather than "mean" mode; in Mean mode it pumps out 1.5-2 times whatever you've set it at, so you get a LOT of dry hits. Also, if you're in the sun, the screen is next to impossible to read; it's called "OLED" which I think is the same as the Vamo. The only mod I have that I can read easily out in direct sun is my iTaste vv/vw v3; smaller and slimmer, built-in battery is just 800 mAh, but you can operate it easily in pass-thru mode, and the screen is LED, large digits, very easy to read in sunlight, or without reading glasses. The iTaste and the Sigelei v3 cost around the same.

I'd recommend looking in to the Sigelei thread, lots of good info in there on maintenance and upkeep for long, reliable life; and ditto that for the Itaste vv3 thread too.
