Hello all. Ive been smoking Marlboro lights now for about 16 years.
IVe always thought it was a nasty habbit, and it would be nice to quit, and when I started seeing this e-cig thing, I thought this may be the way to do it. I started using the 510 this past monday. Im on day 7 now.
I tried to do what research I could, and I bought quite a bit of stuff so I was well prepared. I think my current inventment in this all is at 440.00 USD.

Anyway, with that all said, Ive been having issue with sore gums.
I started feeling the soreness I think on day 2, and by day 3 I had bleeding gums when brushing. I think day 4 or 5 wasnt as bad, but today day 7 its more like it was on day 3 again.

Im wondering if anyone has any experience with this or any advice.
I now have some juice from 3 sorces so I can try cutting out juice from one place or another if thats gonna help figure this out.
I dont know if its the juice or my body adjusting to this whole thing, but Im a little concerned.
any help is appreciated with this.

This has been noted by many new vapers. Despite the nicotine content, the circulation in your gums is getting better due to the lack of carbon monoxide (as referenced in the health section on these boards). Have a look about there. Get thee to a dentist for a good cleaning so you can get it under control. Smoking definitely disguises the symptoms of gingivitis and gum disease (bleeding is a symptom, yet, smoking decreases the circulation in the gums... why you did not see bleeding WHILE still smoking).

I had similar thing. I had raw inside cheeks/gums also bitting my cheeks alot:shock: hmmm never did that before. Sorta like after eating half a dozen bannanas.....

I also was using my PV like a passifier constantly! not that I dont still do that, but I have moderated so there is time between vapes more so now.

Maybe like me you have a problem with the PG or VG? I found peg solved all my issues. You could buy some flavored peg juice from TotallyWicked and vape only that for a week to see if that helps:)
Could also buy some VG from walgreens for 4.50 (adding some thinner to it) and vape that to see if it helps.

I had some problems when using pg. Like Woodman said i cut the pg with Glycerin. Better but Still if some fluid sputter got on my gums or lips it would iritate. I have sice switch to vg with no issues. Seems to vape better as well. Gonna try to get down to the TotallyWicked store this week and check out the peg Juice.

I havent sorted it all out yet, even though pegs done it for me that sputter on the lips and juice in mouth, no matter what juice I believe can be a problem.
I know I had alot of sputter:oops: esp first few weeks what with device issues, blue foam, nic level, which flavor......8-o
Alot going on....cant imagine what it would have been like w/o these forums.

Excellent points! Smoking tobacco disguises so many bad things. Tobacco relationships destroy people silently from the inside out.
I always rinse with Listerine at least occasionally to, but it can dry up during sleep, I try to make sure I drink enough water daily too.

That's pretty much my story.
