Welcome and congrats!

Went from a cigalike to a tank/carto. Fell in love at first vape and never went back. It has been a short time but the banner below also works for me. I feel like Scrooge McDuck swimming in gold coins every time the counter changes. Finally in the black for consumables. 58 days until I am totally in the black.

funny thing about that "quitting thing" .... I've been an avid smoker since my early teens (I'm now 62), because I travel quite a lot for my business and can't smoke in airports, on airplanes, in rental cars, in hotels etc etc etc, I decided I'd get myself a "vaping rig" for when I'm on the road, with absolutely no intention of quitting my 2 pack a day habit .... when my VTR arrived I started vaping, I never officially QUIT smoking, I just picked up the VTR when I felt the need to puff away.

It's been over three weeks now and I haven't picked up a cigarette since, and have never felt "deprived". I guess maybe it's because there was no pressure to quit anything, I was just starting something new.

Nice, welcome Evan, what kit did you get from drop smoke? Lookalike they may have got ten you off to a good start, don't fret if it starts to not satisfy you after awhile or the savings aren't what you thought they would be, you're paying a fair bit more for their branding, with that hardware, you've got the same options anyone else has for juice, you'll find that $3 is about $2 cheaper than drop smoke per bottle and there are unlimited flavors out there for you to try.

The guys around here are great if you have any questions and there's a ton of info waiting to be searched for. Congrats on quitting and happy vaping man.

Hello, welcome, and congratulations! I, also, quit recently using e-cigs. I smoked heavily for almost 40 years. On 12-8-2013 it will be 2 months completely analog-free!

I bought a G6 starter kit from Halo. I gave my self one rule...every time I reached for an analog, I had to first take at least 2 hits from my G6 (I kept them together). If I wanted, I could then smoke my analog after after those 2 hits. I wasn't going to beat myself up over it. That's why it was an easy rule to keep. A funny thing happened the very first day...without even trying, maybe 7 out of 10 times that I reached for a smoke I would become distracted somehow and just kept smoking the e-cig until the urge had passed. So right away I went from 1.5-2 packs a day to just about 5 cigs, without even trying....just due to distraction!

This went on for 3-4 days, and then I decided to see if I could go with just a morning after-coffee analog and one in the evening. I was able to do this for 2 days. On the third day another strange thing happened...as I reached for my morning analog I realized I had completely lost my taste for it. Just the thought of it was sickening. I gave away my remaining analogs and haven't looked back.

I have since moved on to the Halo Triton system, but I still use the G6 for various situations.

40+ years smoker of 1 1/2 pad. Had my last cigarette 22 months ago, didn't intend to quit altogether. My first pv was a 650 mah eGo battery with the llittle atomizer cartridges. I now have an eGo 1000 mah passthrough, a Lambo, a Provari, and my latest acquisition was a Vision Spinner. I use all of them with different flavors and nicotine strengths. Congratulations on vaping and your upcoming wedding. Welcome to ECF!
