Hello, I just signed up tonight. I found some useful information on this site many times, so I figured I would join. I started vaping with a Smoke 51 Duo kit a few years back, but still smoked when that ran out. Now I have a Smoke 51 Duo kit (which I order cartridges every now and then for), a Ego 650 mAH clone and a Ego Twist 1000 mAH. As well as a few tanks & cartos for them. I still occasionally smoke when I'm waiting for juice and stuff to come in. This year will be my last year smoking for good.

Welcome EC Rick!! I think you made a good choice on your new equipment. It's fine to smoke while making the switch. I think a lot of us did that when we first started. Good luck!!

Hi, I did the same...smoking a bit while getting used to vaping. Now it's like the cigarettes taste so bad..don't even want it. Keep at it!!

Thank you. I am very happy with my Twist the clone passthrough not so much (long story but was told it was a Ego when buying it). I was doing really good not smoking for like the past two months but now I'm waiting on juice and thinking of getting a pack for the weekend or one of those E-Cigs from the convenient store.

I've only been vaping for a couple days and have smoked about 6 analogs...down from at least a pack a day. I keep my ego with me at all times and only crave a anacig when my hands start to fidget and reach for the pack. I have sort of figured out what to do about the cig "rituals", tho. I visit vape websites and wonder where I'm going to order my first mod from! Oh, and order juices to try out. (When is that USPS package supposed to arrive, anyway?) I don't feel bad about the smokes, although I hope to get rid of them all over time.

I didn't think I would ever be able to quit. Still, when I started vaping this year, I suddenly found myself not smoking, almost by accident. For me, the stronger juices (nic), longer battery life and decent delivery devices was the difference. I tried vaping in 2009, and again in 2011 and could not make the complete transition off analogs. This year is the Golden Age of Vaping and our gear did get the job done for me...practically without me knowing about it. The more serious you are as a vaper, the easier the transition seems to be, regardless of "YOUR PLAN." Vaping works. Thank you everyone for being so awesome. For my first night here I already feel at home. I can't wait to start hoarding juices when I can. Right now most of my stuff is in storage and it's a little hectic of a living situation. I just moved backed to Massachusetts a little bit ago.

Feel free to ask questions, I have yet to find one without an answer here!
For many of us the transition takes some time, and that's ok! Just cutting back makes a big difference and you'll get there.

Congrats Saltraker! Just give it a little time, before long you'll be rebuilding coils, mixing your own juice, and your hands will be busy. Oh, and waiting for the mailman like a 4 year-old waits for Santa!!!
