I'm Sick.... Now What?

So a couple of days ago I came down with a cold, this is the first time I've been sick since I started vaping. I cut back on the vaping because of the sore throat which went away after a day so, so hooray I can vape again. I'm still sick and nothing tastes right, some flavors taste like nothing, some taste completely different. I've pretty much been forced to stick with the menthol flavors and unflavored because I don't want to waste any of the flavors I like. I did however use this situation to my advantage, one flavor I've had since I started vaping, an RY4 from a B&M that doesn't taste too great, I blew through it pretty quickly and practiced random tricks with the vapor I exhaled because why not? I cut it with some 0 nic VG base so it was about 3mg liquid.

What do you guys do when you're sick? Have you had something like strep throat and continued to vape?

Just got over my first cold since quitting the stinkies. I didn't feel like vaping much, just as I didn't feel like smoking much when I was sick. I too vaped flavors I wasn't crazy about ao as not to waste the good stuff on a stuffy nose.

The good news is you may be sick for less time...my cold was very short-lived compared to when I was a smoker. And I didn't get a nasty cough, either.

Except for a minor case (ongoing) I haven't been sick since I started vaping, but I don't think I would change a thing for health reasons. In other words, I would keep on vaping unless I just didn't feel like it. Like you, I probably wouldn't waste one of my favorite flavors if I couldn't taste it, anyway.

I discovered this by accident- Spearmint gum.
I couldn't taste squat so naturally all my juices tasted the same.

With no thoughts about it, I grabbed a stick of spearmint gum and it tasted marvelous which surprised me completely.
I figured since I could taste that maybe I can taste my juice--it worked.

This is not foolproof--I'd need to be sick again to see if the results will be the same.
Nothing like getting new juice and not being able to vape it.

After my first few weeks of vaping I have yet to have a "Oh man I need a vape now!" moment, I do it because it's become more of a hobby to me. I have noticed that I just don't feel like vaping a lot more since I got sick. I just want my taste to go back to normal so I can vape some Lemon Fairy.

Maybe I'll build a dripper with a little wick and cycle through a bunch of flavors to find my spearmint.

since I started vaping over 4 years ago I have not had bronchitis or any thing really bad, had like 1 or 2 colds, but no flu, or strep...

When I had a cold last, yeah I still vaped like a fiend...well maybe a little lighter, couldn't taste my vape, but I gotz my nic.

I actually haven't had a cold, the flu, or anything else for years.......like maybe 5 years ago I had the flu? But I take Ester C every day (1000 mg). I've been vaping since the January 10th, so I missed out on the flu and cold bugs during that month through the end of April up here, again.

I don't crave nicotine when I am sick. It was the only time when I was smoking where I would quit for a few days.

I very very rarely get sick even before I started vaping. I think the worst I've had in the last 10 years is a small cold. I'm going to try to remember this for if I do get a cold sometime in the future though if I can't hardly taste my juice and I happen to have one I don't like much to try to use some of it up during that time.

Truth be told I didn't have my first serious Cig craving until 5.5 months into vaping. But when it hit me it was like being hit by a bus bad. I actually vaped 18mg to get past it when I normally vape 1 mg.

I'm over the cold. I just finished a few chores I had to take care of, and now I'm sitting down with a freshly wicked dc build in my helios and enjoying a nice vape.
