Hi all. I'm a new member here and relatively new to vaping. I've been smoking for about 30 years. Now that I've taken up vaping, I have cut my cigs down to a third of my previous use.

I'm still searching for my "perfect" juice. Trying quite a few. Just bought some more because of the labor day sales. I believe that I will settle on a couple or 3 favorites eventually. Well, I hope so anyway.

And I had to add "vaping" to my android dictionary to avoid the dreaded gaping autocorrect. Ugh.

It took me a while to get rid of those last cigarettes. In my case what worked was taking my nicotine level up from 18 mg to 26 mg. Even though I was only smoking 1 to 1 1/2 PAD, I had been smoking for over 40 years. A frequent comment here that I firmly believe, is to count the ones you don't smoke, not the ones that you do.

Great advice. I see it as always being positive...if you think negatively, you will think "What the heck - I blew it so it doesn't matter."

Also, for me, NOTHING tastes good until it's been a few days since I've had a ciggy. My juice tastes AWESOME this week, unlike last week...lol! Maybe if you can you should do an experiment...only vape for one day, and see how your juice starts tasting at the end of the day. It's always much better for me. But don't make any goals you can't reach just yet...just an idea to keep in mind! Good luck on your journey!

Welcome to ECF Kegerino! :) It took me months to get off the cigarettes completely. Some people have an easy go of it, others not so much. As they say around here, we only count the ones we don't smoke. Keep working at it, you can do it. It does help to hang out on ECF. There are a lot of supportive, knowledgeable people here.

Personally, I never really got too concerned about a time table. When you're ready go for it. As you smoke less and less it'll become easier and easier to cut it off. Another bit of knowledge I found useful was that there are secondary tobacco alkaloids in cigarettes which can also be addictive. So when you cut down to just nicotine, your body still craves them. In my case I believe I was moderately addicted to them. This led to me still having cravings, even with the vaping. Luckily I found that an occasional Snus would give me them and relieve the cravings. They dropped off fairly quickly, the first month was bad and I could feel it for the first 3 months though it wasn't compelling unless I was under a lot of stress in which case, a Snus would assuage the craving.

kegerino,

I went thru the same thing... When I found the right juice that I really liked I took the plunge and decided that I wasn't going to spend anymore money on analogs. It was tough at first but vaping was the only way that I could get away from cigarettes... I went thru some tough times and thought about picking up a cigarette but I didn't have any so I picked up my e-cig and put that craving away. Pick a quit date and get the analogs out of site and vape... I can honestly tell you that its the best thing I have done for myself in a long time... Good luck to you and remember that you have friends on here that can listen and chime in on your messages.

Hello all. Long time lurker, new to posting. I started vaping a few months ago, but haven't fully gotten away from analogs. I feel if I find the right tobacco juice I will able to quit analogs completely. Very interested in NETs. Going to have to investigate them more.

I've almost given up on tobacco flavors. Just don't care for most I've tried. But I'm sure I will try more.
