I've never tried MM before but would love to. Is there a link to how it's done?

I believe it's been posted in this thread a few times. It's Mundy's Magic. Google it and it will give you the You Tube vids. It's a bit of a pain in the ..... It takes about 4 feet of ribbon wire to make 1 foot of MM. I only used 2 ribbon and I believe true MM is 3 ribbon.

xtreme101's ninja typing skills beat me to it.

The smell of monkey poo is spookin em. :?:

I've been trying to stick to the vanilla custard in the blind. I usually use watered down vanilla extract as a cover scent when I walk out. The deer REALLY like it. I've had a few follow me in licking my footprints. Just not this year apparently :(

No, he's not looking for wobbly legged fawns he's looking for 200lb white tail bucks to fill a freezer with. The vanilla is common, I always used it as well, the Michigan deer love it. Save me some back strap!

Ok so I'll be taking 3 equal length cuts of flat wire and then twisting them individually until they overlap and create that distinctive pattern shown the pictures. Then just twist the 3 pieces together going in the opposite direction than I used when twisting the individual pieces? I think I can do this.

0.6mm X 0.07mm Wire has been shipped so I'll be trying this soon, and will probably be asking questions if it doesn't come out right.

1 piece of wire. Twist until it makes a tube looking fold. Then separate into 3 equal lengths. Twist in opposite direction until it looks like the photo's you've seen.

Edit: sorry for the real technical terminology  hopefully it's clear enough. I made the same mistake the first time. Simply start with 1 length of wire, once properly twisted, split into 3.

MM wire is always so springy for me. How do you remove that to work with your coil?

My take on it is that a very light torching will do the trick. I make the basic coil and then slip it off the mandrel and just pass it over a torch tip set very low. It heats fast cause it's comprised of very thin wirelets. I can even hold the legs with my fingers, it's such a quick torching . . . . I'll tell you what . .. . seeeeee . . . . wazzuuuuup.

I sent you some more. only about 3/4 of what I sent the last time. your second atty package seemed a hair light, and there was the Mundy's . . . . . waiting for a job in life.
