How come Ken is getting a Dublin. And the minion has one already. I want one. I contribute nonsense as much as they do in this thread ...

I'm just as surprised as you are Aal_. I don't know what came over pdib to just randomly decide to make me one...... must be my winning personality and strikingly good looks.

need to work a little on my self confidence though.....

Got poof-poof coming out my ears!
That Dublin' is SWEEEET. I see what you mean about being ready when you hit the switch\button\rod it heats instantly.
I figured out how quick you can drop the batteries out the bottom. I fired it a few times before I wicked to check it out. Turns out that top cap holds some heat when there's no wick or juice in it. I felt how hot it was getting and dropped the batteries in a split second just to be sure it wasn't them heating up.
It wasn't :D
Think I better sit here for a minute before I stand up. Kinda dizzy ;)

with the atty directly seated in the aluminum cap, there's a good bit of heat transfer. I figure tho, that with that 1/4" of aluminum drawing heat away from the atty, it may actually serve to help the atty not get so hot so quick. Ultimately tho, I think that's mostly a matter of toot frequency and lots of airflow.

Yeah, it barely gets warm at all when it's wicked and juiced up. It was just the dry firing that was heating it up.
Really am gonna have to cut down on the nic content though. Buzzin......
