I've actually been kicking $200/month into the college fund in an aggressive growth portfolio for about a year now. Now that there is actually a kid coming, i'll reallocate from aggressive growth after about 1 more year.
Only the first of many joys to come... not to mention some anguish as a side-dish, broken clavicle two years ago. My son will turn seven this July, seems like yesterday I was changing his diapers.

It is a special moment. I remember when my wife got a positive pee on the stick test. Not long after that we went in for her first ultrasound. The tech was looking at the monitor and said something like "I see the sack" and after looking a bit more "and there's another. You're having twins". I don't remember much after that.
I do remember we traded our Accord in for a Tahoe shortly after that ultrasound.
