SO...I gotz my first Nuppin!
Second-hand, but not sure it was even used.
First off - shaweeeeet. It's the size I always wanted; looks slick; FANTASTIC squonk; I'm likin' the draw; and I get to play with AFC's and stuff.

I have a couple questions (yeah - pix, I know - I got a couple below).

Here's the questions:
1 - there's a SLIGHTLY odd flavor. Could be I just rushed and built it, and I might be getting a hint of "new atty" or it could be "someone ran a bottle of menthol through here". So - did a brandy-new Nuppin need a scrub? Could already be fading actually...just thought I'd ask.

2 - Howzit with a single coil? I'm more often running a single, and just wondered whether I might do that next build. Anyone tried both and have a preference?

First, please understand: I am a coiltard. I mean, I built it...actually had less trouble getting a dual mounted than usual - but I know my coils are a sloppy mess and I'll do better next time. Heck, ugly as they are, I was kinda proud I landed right where I meant to (29g, 1.8mm inner, 6 wraps for 0.6 ohms). Also proud of my "donut wick" - it's working great.

Discussed my U wicks awhile back. You may have better luck with 2 separate wicks. I finally tried cutting the U after seeing tons of pics on here and it really does wick better. Peter suggested it's from the coils not having to fight for the juice wicking on the bent side. I'm also not getting burnt wicks like I was.

Discussed my U wicks awhile back. You may have better luck with 2 separate wicks. I finally tried cutting the U after seeing tons of pics on here and it really does wick better. Peter suggested it's from the coils not having to fight for the juice wicking on the bent side. I'm also not getting burnt wicks like I was.

Yep, the cotton (or rayon) wicks better from the cut ends laying on the deck than just soaking up the juice through the sides of the wick.

Same here. 2 separate wicks worked much better using Rayon and dual coils.

Pm's aren't working on this lovely site.... How can I get ahold of 2 sets of grubs and what size are they so I can buy a proper Hex driver.... I've stripped 4 screws and both Allens..... And seriously.... I'm not really wrenching down on the grubs.??
Version one Nuppin I bought 2 and have already used the extras :O

Yiorgo, I just ordered some more screws as well. You can get some from me. But I think the pricing and shipping at Mcmaster is reasonable enough. It was ~$6.85 for shipping on just a few bags of screws. Mcmaster also has some .9mm hex drivers with handles; but I can't speak for the quality (haven't tried those yet).

Need a black Router I guess, to complete the options.

Might need another, but...well...only have one squonker so far.
