I found online v/g, p/g, the nicotine in p/g or v/g and the flavorings and they also sell sweeteners, then I found a ratio calculator that tells you how much of each to use, and public recipes that people have submitted, and some of them sound pretty interesting, I just haven't made up my mind, if I want to start making my own juice yet and what flavors or combinations of flavors I want, either and not sure of the p/g V/g percentages either, I do have two rda's and two RBA's and it would be great to keep them filled with juice I made my self, cause you can make 5ml's or smaller samples or whip out a couple of 30mls or bigger on the cheap, I need to do more research before I start making my own.

I thought about doing the same thing. I actually purchased vg and pg nicotine as well as several large bottles of flavoring from Flavor West as well as small bottles of concentrated flavorings from Mount Baker Vapor. After 3 months and dozens of attempts it turned out to be an expensive disaster. The ejuice calculator and online recipes are interesting, but there has to be more to it than that. There is a forum in ECF that has a large following of diy juicers. I hope you find the help there to allow you to succeed where I failed miserably. I learned to buy my juice online for as little as $11 per 30ml bottle...that is super cheap.

I'm not sure about buying 30ml's online, with out tasting it first in my RDA's and RBA' and try it out, cause the Vapor supply place I hang out and bs with other vapors and buy my juice at carries several different lines, and I like the Velvet Cloud and DNA line and I really the Namber Juices, I live in Northern Nevada, and one day I was hanging out at the Vapor supplty shop having a few laughs, when Grimm Green walked in and introduced himself to me saying, I must be the new guy, and what juice was I vaping, and when I showed the Namber juice choices I had just bought an half hour before he got there, he gave a smile and the thumbs up and I got to pick his brain on the whole juicing process and how he comes up with the names and the flavors, and I can honestly say he is good people and I'm glad I got to meet him, and then he let us try some new juices he was playing with and the owner of the Vapor supply place will let us try some of the sample juices he gets sent too him, some really good and they start selling them, and some are really bad and they pass on them, and you can taste why, he says buying juice for his shop is hit and miss. So I guess buying online is kind of of the same thing

where do you get the 30ml of juice at, and can I buy smaller bottles to try them out, or maybe a sample pack, so I try the ones that catch my eye or I have tried before and like.

I've been making my own DIY juice for awhile now, so will try to offer some advise and a few tips..

First off, use the calculator! When you want to make something like a 15 ml bottle 8mg juice, you don't want to try doing the math yourself.

Get yourself a notebook, and write down everything! You don't want to play the guessing game or try to remember exactly how you made something last time. Most of us will start low on flavor, then add as needed, so you will want to keep track of it every time you make a change.

Flavors are not all created equal! Write down all of your flavors, and what brand they are (Loran's, TFA, etc..) make a test batch of 1-3ml 0nic for each flavor, start low, around 1% and slowly work your way up until you get the right amount of flavor, then write it down!

Some flavors are VERY strong and anything more than 1-2% is overpowering, other flavors can go anywhere from 10-20% and still be great

If you are just working with 1 flavor, it is pretty easy to figure out where the sweet spot is, but when working with 2-6 flavors in some of the more complicated mixes, you REALLY NEED to know exactly how strong each flavor is.

You should also keep in mind that some flavors really compliment each other, while others will ruin the batch and taste nothing like you were expecting.

Look up juice recipes online, study them, look at the flavors used, and how much of each flavor is used, this will give you a good idea of how to mix them and in what %'s. you will start to notice some flavors use very little, while other flavors make up most of the mix, even if it doesn't look like it should.

Above all, be patient, over time you will get better and faster at making your own juice, then perfecting it after some fine tuning.

Last, and most important, go to the DIY juice area of the forums and read EVERYTHING, flavor safty, mixing ratios, tips and tricks, what not to do, and so on.

Thank you DoMortas do you steep your samples to see if the flavors increase as it ages, or do you mix and vape, adjust and remix and re-vape, and repeat if needed or do adjust and let it steep then test.

I taste mine right after mixing then depending on what they are steep for 3 - 10 days then try again, tobaccos need at least 2 weeks, bakery need a week, fruits a couple of days...stay clear of Flavour West and come join the DIY forum, there is tons of useful info, dozens of helpful people and a lot of fun to be had. Do it!

Its actually harder then it seems.
Ive tried a few times and have had a couple good mixs

Hmm, I think you meant 'easier' Curt, but correct me if I got that wrong :)

It really is not that complex, specially if you stick to a couple of flavors in a juice as opposed to say four. The more flavorings you mix in there the harder it is to get things right and the more experimenting and methodical you have to be in developing the recipe.

For anyone who wants to get into this, definitely check out the info in the DIY forum here and don't mix in anything you're not sure is safe to inhale. If you're not sure, assume it's unsafe. Ask if you have any doubts.

I've been doing this for a while now and it's great. Just the ability to tweak a juice to what you feel like vaping today is a real step up in satisfaction.

I agree about checking out the DIY forums. It's a must for new DIYers.

I never found DIY hard at all. I started out making one flavor juices then started making complex recipes. I can mimick a lot of expensive juices for pennies. I can even make Suicide Bunny's Mothers Milk that taste just as good as the real thing. It's not that hard at all. You just have to commit yourself to try. It's fun and saves money at the same time.

Good Luck :vapor:

I have taken to mixing 100 ml batches in a 100 ml Erlenmeyer flask and use a 50 ml graduated cylinder to measure what goes into it, and that works very well for me. It makes percentages a snap, and having worked up a recipe that I really love I have it down pat. I applaud anyone who starts making their own juice, it will save you a lot of money and you get what you want made for what you are vaping it in.

It's not just health reasons I started vaping for, there were economic reasons too, and when I found myself spending $90 a week on juice from the B&M's I realized I'd only changed the middleman. That had to stop. By my lights vaping should not be just as expensive as smoking, and should improve your economic health along with your physical health.

Do it! You will not be disappointed. Making your own juice is satisfying and very economical in the end. Read everything in the DIY section, the stickies, and the blogs. It will seem confusing at first, but eventually a plan that fits what you are trying to do will come together.

It seems expensive at first, but what I did as I was ordering my stuff was I inventoried all of the juice I bought, and put a price on that. It made clicking the "purchase" button all that much easier! Good luck with it, and welcome!
