IMHO...The S.B. needs a slight tweak

Dont get the leaking thing...I drip most of the time cause the flavour is better and the act of dripping has become second nature...kinda like ashing a real cig.

Never had much juice leak out an atty...4 drips...8-10 hits then drip again.

Purest form of vaping.

I got an P18 w/recessed juice well and it just means I got to clean out the juice well occasionally.

Thanks for the links Isaac. Just something that comes to mind ...does this make the atty a bit warmer when vaping? does anyone notice a difference?

The word is the dripshield actually acts as a heatsink for the atty.. I've not noticed any heat whatsoever from the atty/dripshield area and that w/ a LR 1.5 atty

This thing sounds great the way you can change the airflow to your liking and all. I didn't get it at 1st but now the way I read it (from the site) is that I would need to buy 901 attys for this to work. I'm assuming it will not work with 510 attys. Do you or anyone know of a thread started on ECF about this product? I would like to know if there are any plans in the future for a 510 dripshield.

I have experienced the same thing, however, I think I have found the ultimate solution (altho a bit janky looking).

I currently have my Silver Bullet working with the new tank system offered from Totally Wicked. I used to do long haul trucking and this solution solved every issue I have ever had with ecigs - the atomizer / eliquid fill/refill setup.

The total cost of the order (for 2 atties, the smallest order of tank cartridges which is 5 and the adapter) is $46-$55 and some change after taxes/shipping.

What you need to order is the following:

* 2 x tank atomizers (normally $17 but currently on sale for $15) = $34
TORNADO TANK- Cone Shaped tank Atomizers-All Colours

** 1 x tank atomizer adapter = $4
TORNADO-Battery-Mains Charger Adaptor

*** 1 x 5 pack of clear tank cartridges = $8

*I recommend 2 tank atties just in case one craps out.
**This adapter will allow the tank atomizer to connect to the standard 510 atty connector found on the Silver Bullet
***You can get these in solid black but clear is much more helpful for easily seeing the current status of how much liquid you have.

There are a few negatives to this particular setup you should know about.

This setup increases the total length of the SB by about an inch.
This setup will make your SB look a little weird.
Initially, the taste of the vapor is off due to the coating put in the atty.
Atomizers are a bit more costly to replace (but the atties last much longer than normal 510/910 atties).

However, the benefits outweigh the negatives in my opinion.

This setup has ZERO leakage.
Strong vapor production with nearly every hit.
Every drop of e-liquid is used to go into your lungs and not anywhere else.
VERY easy to setup initially (about 2-5 minutes) and refill when the tank is emptied (2 minutes to refill).
No polyfill (cotton like substance that has to be replaced every couple of weeks with other solutions).
Requires 3 refills a day for moderate to heavy vaping.

Once you have the parts, it is real easy to setup.

(DO NOT ATTACH ANY PARTS YET TO THE SB!!)

1. Take one of the plastic tank cartridges and remove the soft rubber end cap from the fat end. Then, carefully remove the small plastic cap on the same end that was under the rubber cap (before we removed it). This requires some fingernails but isnt that difficult to do, just whatever you do, make sure you dont loose this plastic cap (or the rubber cap in case you need to remove the tank cartridge with it still containing liquid so that you can cap it to keep it from leaking).

2. Holding the tank cartridge vertically with the open end that had the plastic cap facing upwards, fill with your eliquid of choice until it is about 1/4 of an inch from the top (we want a small amount of air left in the tank to allow the liquid to freely drip without suction - ie enough air should be in the cart to allow the liquid to flow properly). Snap on the plastic cap we removed from step 2 and tip the cartridge a bit to make sure there is a small air bubble inside (if there isnt, remove the plastic cap and drain a tiny amount of fluid).

3. Now, take the plastic tank with eliquid in it and look carefully at the 2 grooves on each side. Now look inside the tank atomizer and visually line up the tank cartridge with the tank atty while sliding the cartridge inside of the atty (you should notice on two sides of the atty while looking inside have two small indentations, these should line up with the grooves on the tank). Once you feel the tank unable to slide any further, carefully grip the atomizer with one hand and the tank cartridge with the other hand and exert some force pushing them together until you hear it 'snap' in. It shouldnt take alot of force but it does take a small amount of force. What we have just done is punctured a small hole on the bottom of the tank just big enough for the triangle top portion of the custom atty heating element to sit directly under the tank hole (it only will 'snap' into place the first time you use a tank cartridge). Once this has been done once with a tank cartridge, for future refills, you simply need to line it up and slide it in, no force will be required.

4. Screw the small silver 510 to tank atty adapter to the bottom of the atomizer, now screw the other end of the adapter into the Silver Bullet and vape away.

(To refill, simply remove the tank cartridge (leave the adapter and atty screwed together and into the SB), remove the plastic end cap, fill it just as we did the first time, replace the plastic end cap, line it up with the inside of the atty and slide it back in making sure it is pressed all the way down (it should not need to be snapped into place, just make sure it is pushed down as far as it will go).
