Impatiently waiting.. And some questions

So, I've been vaping since the 9th, the first four days struggling with a Mistic set bought at walmart and then i bought a Smoov starter set and then .. A pack of analogs after fighting with batteries and losing charges - so then I bought another Smoov battery and some refillable cartos and things got a little better - but then, again, the batteries died - so another pack of analogs - another battery - an XL and three Smoov clearomizers, oh - and a passthrough - so, now I have four batteries, a passthrough, and enough things to hold all the e-juice I've bought - and I STILL bought another pack of analogs.. Arg!!

It doesn't need to look like a cig. I came to that conclusion very quickly..
So I ordered a Vision Spinner VV eGo and an STV Nova tank System. It might make it by Monday.
Question #1 Will I be happier?
Darn, I hope so as refilling constantly sucks -
so question #2 does the weird sound coming from my refillable cartos .... suuuckk, Pop! as I draw and then let go - it sounds as if the filler is pulling to the top and then dropping down or something so... did I break them?? :confused:And how do I, or can I, fix 'em?
not all of them do it but it's weird and kind of disconcerting.

And question #3 (2 part question) I also bought an adapter so I can still use the cartos with the Vision Spinner - What voltage do I use with them?

And second part of the question- has any one bought the 20 blank cartos for $19.95 from Revolution Vapor and were they decent quality or totally worthless?

Thanks and wanting to stop wasting money on analogs,
Kirstinr

Welcome , and yes you will be much happier , with your new purchase . And as for the horrible sound , you speak of . If you didn't hear that sound , it would indicate that your carto , was no good . Cracling and popping is just what you want to hear . You will get used to the sound , after awhile . Never bought any blank ( empty ) carto's from them , but at least , the price is about right . Hope they work for you . The new spinner , being VV , will allow you to use a lot more devices , with different resistance levels . Don't fret too much , over how much voltage to use . Start out with the lowest setting , and keep turning it up gradually , until you get the sort of vape , your looking for .

I always hear a quiet cracling and popping sound but this is waayy different it's a sucking sound and a very loud ( Comparatively) popping sound, as if the filler material is moving around inside. That is what is bothering me :D

Sounds like you've gone through the normal progression. You might look at a mod later, but really the VV spinners and twists get you 99% of the way there. Anything else is just icing. I have two twists for work and a Vama V2 for home use.

Yep, the Vivi Novas do work well. I used CE3s and CE4s before I got to vivis. I think I like the vivi novas better, but I have done a lot more to tweek them including making my own coils and notching the top caps. Google the subject and you'll find lots of info. The best thing is, I only need to top off my mini Vivi Nova once or twice during the day at work.

It's the sound of the liquid vapourising inside the wick. Pop - hisss. Perfectly normal. You get it more with some cartos that others because of differences in how the coil is wound. Now that I'm winding my own I find it reassuring - most of the wicks and coils that work really well seem to do that, since it indicates that the wick is doing it's job really well. The coils and setups that I've had the most trouble with don't do that as much.

And question #3 (2 part question) I also bought an adapter so I can still use the cartos with the Vision Spinner - What voltage do I use with them?

As stated start low and work your way up, however for a 2.2 ohm coil you might find 3.8 volts OK. Now that you're got VV you will be able to tweek the voltage to suit the juice and the exact resistance of the coil. Coils can vary 0.2 ohm or even greater from the manufacturer's specifications for their product and I'm no longer surprised when about 1 in 5 are completely failing to hit the mark. This answers the second part of your question in general terms (I have no direct knowledge of that exact product or vendor): expect some variation but they should all work.

If you are refilling the cartos, then it might actually be gurgling - the carto is flooded due to overfilling. It may also affect vapour production. Blow through the carto into a tissue to remove the excess and then try again.
