I believe the result of this poll shows that the general public doesn't understand the difference between smoking vs vaping. They see vaping and still consider it "smoking".
Of the smokers who may have tried a beginner's "cigalike" and had a negative experience, they likely didn't try a more effective vaping setup and went back to smoking.
The general public is more likely to read and believe the anti-vaping propaganda dispelled on social media than to investigate the scientific evidence available.

That's kinda the joke.. such pools should be
"If you are someone that vapes or know someone that does, did it help you or them quit?"
Right now, I'd bet that all of the "no" are people that simply didn't try, didn't want to quit, or that swallowed the propaganda.
Every smoker that quit smoking thanks to vaping would be a 100% yes vote, and that is a HUGE number of vapers..
I clicked Yes on the poll, but yeah this is a public perception general poll. It will have zero relevance as to if they actually work or not (we all know they do).
It's part of the propaganda machine...
If it gets enough "no", then people "assumed" that it means that it doesn't work.
Belief is everything.
K I voted but the stats are disheartening. As always. LOL, I might get family members to vote at one point they were all BETTING each other I couldn't quit, (I found out later) although at the time they were all like, "That's great, good job," etc.
