Hello there forum, i've been a proud owner of a Joytech Evic VT for 2 weeks now. The mod is good, i like it but i have the chance to trade it with one of the following: ipv D2 V3, EVIC VTC MINI. Shall i even consider it? If yes, why and which? Both of the small mods, are more powerful than my EVIC VT but offer less juice than my 5000mah beast. I guess i could eliminate the last factor by having a 2nd 18650 in my pocket. Any ideas? Thank you :)

the mini works well
if it does work :)

i have a mini and we were/some are still having issues on tc
so if you get a good working unit its a nice device

but if not have your hammer ready,

only reason,i had xcube in mind, since i think based on reading here the xcube 2 is working ok,a few less quirks than the evic in my opinion.
so i guess,it might be the same with the mini version hahahaha

I have both the D2 v2 hardware and the the Evic mini 1.10 hardware/1.2 software. Since the recent VTC update I can not get the same SS TC builds that were working before to work without it kicking me out of TC. Ti01 builds also get kicked out randomly too. D2 may not have as many features but it has worked solidly for the couple months I have had it, no dumb bugs. Also, something no one seems to mention is that the 510 connector on the VTC mini is pretty garbage. It is damn shallow and has like half the threading of a normal 510 connection which causes quite a few Attys to not fit flush/ wobble that don't on other mods. That is the only part of the VTC mini build quality that is not up to par IMO.

But... Guys... Yihi chip?

Yihi are, with evolv, the leading TC chip manufacturers right now! The 350J is a fantastic chip and the 130 variant in the D2 is also very good indeed!

So what did you decide? I am looking at the Evic VTC mini and the IPV D2 at the moment and would like some pros and cons of each. Would love input from people that actually vape using the temperature control.

It seems there are a ton of youtube vids out there that discuss the 2 of them, but almost every one of them are from users that dont really use TC.

I want to use TC and would like info from people that use it. I am brand new to vaping, so the more imput the better!

this is my own opinion on evic vtc mini

i just bought meself the evic vtc mini, purely because of the color option -___-
and yes, it does perform well, with some consideration (adjustment, tweak, etc)
been playing with my vtc mini for a week now, while my previous so-called-TC mod (istick tc40w) performed beautifully out of the box, my vtc mini does need some adjustments.

but it works, despite problems reported on the neighboring thread, i would say that it is not really a problem, but more like differences on how the mod and firmware work (TC wise).

been using only TI wire on:
istick tc40w using NI mode > 0,22ohm 200C > beautiful vape
vtc mini using TI mode > 0,22ohm 250C > beautiful vape with a tad slow ramp up
vtc mini using NI mode > 0,22ohm 175C > beautiful vape

in all three condition of course you can tweak the temp up to suit you

please note that the TI wire i have been using IS NOT the best one, hard to find 99,9% TI in my area (or country), so my wire's TCR may as well been off
