In between finish?

I ordered my first precise shortly before the P+'s came out. And it was definitely more satin than I expected, the fished seems to be sort of in between the original finish and the satin of the new ones.

was this a brief period where they came like this?

I think they all vary from batch to batch. Slightly however.

The first run of PrecisePluses that I have are my favorites. A very dark battleship gray. Ones from subsequent batches seem to vary quite a bit, I have an 18500 that shines sort of like mother-of-pearl.

Yes, finish's vary. As the blasting media becomes more seasoned, the finish/color changes.

More seasoned would be more shiny because the media would not have such a sharp edge to scuff. Correct me if I am wrong.

I have two Precise. They both look pretty cool, but one is cool in a gunmetal grey/satin kind of way, while the other one is almost like mother-of-pearl glowy satin. The glowy one is beautiful and very different from the grey one, I always thought you were just experimenting with different finishes, I didn't know it related to the age of the materials.

Please put me in line for mother of pearl shiny glowy satin in the future It looks dope.

Mine are like that too... One a shinny satin, the other a gray satin... Both are beautiful but the gray satin is more of a true satin IMO...

Hopefully by the time you get to my satin shockwave the media will be seasoned as heck. (hint).

weird I would think it would be the other way around, have you ever thought of using some kind of chemical treatment for a more precise finish? Pun intended.
