Liberty flights has a Riva 510 kit for < $40, with coupon code october20 good for 20% off. Much larger battery than a standard 510 = longer life (a good thing).

I use KR808D-1, from NHaler and vapor4life (their vaporking). saveinnj and smilin are the coupon codes, and vapor4life often has higher % off codes (check their forum area). The NHaler Mega and v4l XL batteries have decent life. Good customer service from both companies. About $50 for a complete basic kit.

Nice price point on an 808 kit -- I do like the 808 higher voltage (3.7V compared to 3.2V in the 510/Riva/eGo), and 808 cartomizers (cartos, combined atomizer and cartridge in what looks like a cig filter) are convenient to use.

I've been interested in testing out an 808 myself. I know it's a two-piece PV, but it is capable of using atty's right?

901 atty's work on 808 -- same threading. (doesn't generally work the other way -- 901 batts may lack the air holes below the threading)
