Hey guys,
I could really use your help with something. I have been mixing all of my juices for the past 3 months. I have made a few flavors I really like but the one thing I am running into universally is all the flavors come off... flat. Its like the flavors are muted. At first I thought it was because I was setting my flavor %'s too low. So I upped my %'s fairly extremely and i am still getting the same thing. I am trying to figure out what I need to do to get that full flavor to my juices. I know there is something I am missing, I just cant figure out what.

Just to help: Here is the general process I go through when mixing my juices.

Mix flavorings to desired levels (typically only use capella's)

Shake

Add in VG/PG (usually somewhere between 60/40 and 80/20 depending on the flavor)

Shake

Add in Nic to get desired %. (Use e-juice me up for all calculations)

Shake it up one last time and set bottle in hot water for 15-30 minutes. Let steep for atleast 24-48 hours up to 1 week. (with small flavor tests along the way ofc)

That's how i go through it every time and I cant seem to get that clear pop of flavor that all "professional" juices seem to have. Even when I do a straight juice it comes off flat and fluffy instead of having that crisp clean flavor.

Any help would be appreciated because at this point I am at a loss as to what I need to do next.

ive been using the same type of atomizer. havent changed that at all. And the flavors are that way even on a brand new flavor even on the very first hit. I've tried 15%-25% on flavoring and it doesnt seem to matter. I've tried fruits, baked, tobacco's... the only thing that seems to carry through to where I can taste it well is cinammon. I can try those same type flavors from a vendor and get the flavor so I just dont know what I am missing.

This doesn't exactly apply to tobaccos, but what are they like at 10%?

Tobaccos are an entirely different animal as compared to Cap's, but I can see 15% being too much, thus muting the flavor, for a number of folks with Cap's.

One of my blogs covers the unicorn tears and butterfly fart stuff that can bring out a flavor, but the flavoring level chart is the key blog.

Ya know you are probably right. I would bet that I am over flavoring. Going to dump the ones that have been ticking me off and try just some singles at 10% and see how that goes.

to much vg mutes my mixes.... try to make a batch 5 mils with all all pg try that dont add any nicotine (at that point ) you can tell the difference

yeah i need to do that. unfortunately when I ordered my nic i ordered 50/50 instead of 100% pg which would have been the intelligent thing to do lol. When I order another bottle of nic im going to order 100% pg this time around.

I'm with Hoosier on this. People say that 20% is the default level for Capella's, but I've run across at least a couple that taste better at 12%.
