I'm using this thread to journal my ongoing attempts at mimicking Nicoticket's H1N1. I know he uses a NET so I'll probably never get a recipe to "clone" status but I'm going try my darndest! I would love if this turned into a group effort though ;)

So H1N1 to me tastes like a RY4ish base with heavy sweet caramel and, most importantly, a perfectly non-obtrusive but distinctive spice which my buds interpret as vaguely cinnamon-ish. This was my first attempt mixed four days ago:

TFA Double RY4: 7%
Hang Tab: 4%
FA Caramel: 3%
TFA Sweet Cream: 1%
TFA Vanilla Swirl: 2%
TFA Horchata: 1%

Notes: Definitely needs steeping. It wasn't until today (4 days later after an initial 1 hour hot bath n shake) that the cinnamon finally stopped overpowering everything and the caramel developed. I'll give this batch another week but I'm thinking even with the cinnamon mellowing out, I might go down to .5% on the Horchata.

The FA Caramel isn't doing it for me. I like the dark depth of it but it lacks sweetness. I have TFA Caramel Candy on order which I'll try next batch.

To go for a more rounded spicyness, I'm going to sub FA Catalan Cream for the TFA Sweet Cream next time.

Still, this current recipe is fairly vapeable after 4 days :)

The thing I like about trying to clone is that usually I end up coming up with a juice that's different but tasty in its own right. This is my second batch of "H1N1". Not as deep and rich as H1N1 but it definitely has it's own spicy caramel RY4 going on. It's my most complex recipe to date- filled up all the fields in my ejuice calculator :)

TFA Double RY4: 8%
Hang Tab: 2%
FA Caramel: 3%
FA Catalan Cream: 4%
TFA Vanilla Swirl: 2%
EM: 1%
TFA Horchata: .5%

Total flavoring: 20.5%

There's definitely Tobacco Absolute, it's mentioned in the product description. Their in-house vanilla bean steep is used as well, so Vanilla Bourbon might be a good option. The cinnamon supposedly comes from the NET, although I guess you would have to add that artificially if not working with one.

One thing you're definitely missing is the peanut notes, they stay pretty forward throughout the steep cycle. Often reminds me of a Whatchamacalit bar.
