I craved tobacco for months after I quit with vaping. The craving does diminish with time but there may be the occasional bad day or two. You just need to hang in there and use some willpower to get through the bad days. Old habits are hard to break.

As others have stated, it's not just nicotine that you're addicted to. Tobacco contains hundreds of compounds that, when burned, form other compounds. The cigarette companies make things worse by adding more chemicals to make them more addicting.

Using a non adjustable power output device like the smok Nord is not helping you find the satisfaction / hit you're looking for.
Not knocking your choice if it is working well for you, but it sounds like it isn't.

The Nord is a direct output type of device, meaning as the battery voltage decreases so does power going to the tank/delivery device. Fully charged it might output around 16w as the battery voltage falls around 9w before the low voltage cutoff kicks in and it is time to recharge.
Being able to adjust power output and having a regulated power stream to maintain an exact power/wattage going to the delivery device certainly helps tailor your vaping experience to your individual preferences.
Gives you the ability to increase or decrease vapor temp, can increase or decrease vapor production, vaporizes e liquid more efficiently makes more of the Nic in your liquid available / a noticeable increase in nic and throat 'hit'.

For some folks vaping isn't a magic bullet that kills the cravings and desire to smoke.
Based just on my experience I can't tell you it will get easier in a short period of time, I dual used for eleven months before completely quitting cigs.
I had intense cravings to smoke for a couple years, still get cravings when I'm around others that smoke.

From my point of view you're doing very well. Keep at it.

Like others have mentioned, the nicotine isn't the main culprit of the craving and your system going through withdraws.

The thing to remember too is the simple fact that vaping is not like smoking. What i did at first was whenever I felt like i wanted to smoke, i would vape a lot. Vape like theres no tomorrow. I got nic sick a few times but thats what it took for me to stop the cravings.

This is why I'm vaping so much more than i smoked. And it's becoming more enjoyable without all those toxins.

I was dual user for 8 months till I finally quit smoking.
What device are you using? How many watt? How many ml per day?

@greek mule has the right questions imho. Something isn’t working quite right. Need to find out what it is though.

BUMP!

Only adding a small bit of advice. Do not beat yourself up over minor backslides if you do have a cigarette every blue moon or so. It will happen. We're all human and all face trouble resisting temptation.

If you do have a cigarette, make sure it is only a cigarette for that day, that week, that month and so on. Tell yourself you can go the next day without, then the next week and so on. Believe it. Believe it like you are already two years without a cigarette. feel that, feel the healthiness you have.

Stand fast! You can do it. Do not surrender. You're worth more than the $0.03 it costs to make a cigarette. But again, don't beat yourself up for a slip up on rare occasion. You're also worth more than a mass of flesh that pulverized itself.

@buccaneersfan, another thing to consider is how long have you have smoked? As you aren't necessarily able to change behaviours overnight, it will take time.

But focus on the positive. You've had cravings, but you have vaped instead.

As others have mentioned WTA (Whole leaf Tobacco Alkaloids) and or NET (Naturally Extracted Tobacco) liquids or concentrates may be of interest and use to you.

I use 18mg per ml of nicotine in my juice(ejuice). What I'm using is a mechanical mod for squoking and RDAs. Mechanical mods are not exactly what we like suggesting to those coming in new. They require a little learning curve, and you keep learning using them.

Yes, I use the 18 mg because I could not handle 24 mg. Sometimes to go forward we need to step back, if you follow what I'm saying. No, not saying you explicitly need to either. Merely a suggestion.

I can toss you some RDA suggestions. Might even have one for you. I need to get it cleaned, put a non-squonk stud pin in it.

One I might suggest is the Dead Rabbit from HellVape. It does well for me but I do not use it as much as some others.

I also like the following RDAs:

Gorge by Advken
ChiNaRDA by ?Unknown? (This is a clone of a NaRDA, which is expensive to buy authentic)
Wasp Nano by Oumier

Most of the RDA I use run single coil builds. I find I can get good results both flavor and cloud wise using a single coil.

I'll let someone else suggest a regulated mod for you. Not used any of those a while and am out of touch as to what is considered good for those starting.

Higher VG juices will give you the clouds and the lesser throat hit. A mod with variable wattage will give you control over vapor volume. You can tailor the vape to suit your preferences once you have adjustable wattage. While you are trying to quit cigarettes, vaping 24mg juice is about right if you are having cravings for a smoke using a mouth to lung atty (low vapor and wattage).

If you are wanting to vape big clouds, you'll want to use something in the 12mg range to keep you off the smokes. The more vapor you inhale the more nic you get. It's easy to get nic overload with high nic juice in a cloud tank.

Is there a good vape shop close to you? They should be able to let you try a few sample vape mods and juices and show you what's available. The really good vape shops will have a display with atomizers loaded with various juices that you can try by using a throwaway drip tip. You just move the tip from atomizer to atomizer and test vape different juices.

One great idea is to find a local vape shop with a juice tasting bar, that will allow you to use different gear as well.

As folks prefer different types of vaping atomisers, and you don't know what type suits you better until you try or use it.

For example I have a younger friend who likes the idea if a cloudy vape, but every time he tried using my cloudy gear (DTL) he coughed his lungs up. Tried him on a Prime clone with little clouds (MTL), and I almost couldn't pry it from his hands. So discovered that he was an MTL style vaper, which he was not aware of until he tried it.

From Spinfuel:

There is something, some truth that is spoken about in e-cigarette forums dozens, maybe hundreds, of times a day that for the most part all Vapers know to be true but others, non-Vapers, do not know. It is this; Vapers vape a lot more than smokers smoke.

We all know this to be true. Hell, if I counted the number of puffs/drags I take everyday from my e-cigarette and applied that number to tobacco cigarettes I would be in the category of a “4+ packs a day” smoker.

I’m a chain Vaper, like tens of thousands of others, I vape all the time. Why not? It’s safe. Harmless even. Hell, maybe even beneficial to lung health. And cheap. There isn’t a single reason that I can see for not vaping anytime I have the urge. I call it ‘pacify vaping’

..

The vape shops here are not cool. They are more business oriented than helping people. I visited couple of times 2 years ago, they sold me a pen and mod kit both died in few days.

Can you guys plz Suggest me some mod kits you guys think will give more vapor and less throat hit for 24mg, I will check reviews and watch YouTube clouds and choose one to buy

If you move to a device that produces more vapor than what you're currently using, and you put the same juice as you're using now, you will get much more of a rush from the nicotine, and any throat hit will be magnified as well. My recommendation would be anything not made by Smok. I have a wismec, which was cheap, but works very well with aftermarket software, and a more expensive dovpo. I like both for different reasons.
