The Nemesis clone looks sick! I may very well end up going with that one. Awesome suggestion. Now by 'adapter', am I to assume you mean something other than the beauty ring thingie-ma-jigger?
Yup a 510 to 510 adapter , if you do go the Nemesis with a kick route you're going to need a Multimeter to operate it safely , ie monitor your battery voltage and power output , don't let anyone else tell you otherwise when it's your face that needs protecting . Good luck .

I've had a couple of cheaper variable voltage mods (Smoktech and Segelei) which used the 33.3 hz "rattlesnake chip". I couldn't hear the sound, but I could tell the difference in the vape between them and my Provari or MVP. The rattlesnake chip burns hotter and most of my juices tasted burnt. I had to turn the voltage down an entire volt to compare to the smoother vape of the Provari and MVP.

I'll never buy another mod which uses the 33.3 hz chip.

The combo I have now definitely works well, and part of it is my technique, I constantly vape long and deep lung draws all day long. The power thing is just so I can ooh and aah my friends when they light up a stoge in front of me. They're all already using my kit every time we go out and such, I find myself OCD'ing and cleaning the hell out of my drip tip all the time because of it, too. >.>

I don't think a mechanical mod is right for new vapors. You have to build or use a coil at your sweet spot instead of adjusting the voltage/power to meet your requirements. I have both the vamo v3 and the mvp2 and they are ok for backup devices. I've dropped my vamo at least 10 times over the year plus since using it and it works like it did from day one. Also never used an adapter for the 510 connection either and as long as your gentle in screwing toppers on you should be ok.

The device I use now mostly is a cana mod dna30 with sony vtc5 batteries and the mvp2 (to replace some old ego c twist batts). For what your doing the mvp2 would hold you well and 101vape has them for $39.99 + shipping (under $3) and ship pretty fast.

The cana would be $69.99 and vct5's (2 pair) are $21 something and a charger and you would be a little bit more future proof. The vct5's are 2600 mah and at your higher ohm's would last the better part of a day. You can also use it as a pass through (plug in via usb) and vape while it charges if you don't want to buy a charger right away.

Honestly there is so many choices out there it's mind boggling. I just wish I got into rebuildable tanks sooner (kayfun lite plus v2) cause I would have saved a bunch of money. Looking at a taifun gt right now as my next tank cause I love how inexpensive it is to build and wick something to your specifications. 100ft of kanthal off amazon is cheap as hell, organic cotton as well.

    Good luck and happy vaping!

No contest get the MVP 2. I have had 4 Vamo's and the longest lasting one was 3 months. Two of them crapped out in less then a month and one lasted 5 day. I know some people have had Vamo's that lasted a year but imo the build and quality is poor on them. The MVP is a workhorse and the battery life is amazing. I wish the wattage was a bit higher but for most day to day the MVP is impressive.

You can also use the MVP 2 as a battery bank to charge other devices as well. Never had to use this, but if you like to hike and need to use a phone it would come in handy in a pinch.

It will do 3.3v - 5v and 6w - 11w but for most vapors it's fine. Feels nice in the hand as well and smaller than you think it is.

Also the kayfun I use is an EHPro clone kayfun lite plus v2 also from 101vape. Made and works very well.

No kidding, when I started this thread I had some ballparks but now the choices laid out before me are kind of overwhelming.. :O

    Here's a couple more suggestions ;-)

Sigelei 20W gives plenty of room to grow into, but doesn't work below 7W, and you might not get even that low with a coil under 2 ohms.

The SX350 chip is used in very very few mods yet, but if you can find it, it works all the way from 5W to 50W.

If you wait a while, PBusardo managed to get Evolve to admit that the DNA chips on the drawing board have similar capabilities.

All of those do not suffer from the rattle snake.

I also recommended sigelei or seven 22. But i guess it depends on his budget. They are just alittle bit more expensive but worth it.
However the mvp2 is a nice mod aswell and realy nice with its large capacity of battery life.
But 2x sony vtc4/5 would last about the same time. Maybe even 1. Such a shame it's only up to 11watts.

Personally since i'm used to mech mods i can't go under 15w, too weak. ^^
But as i've mentioned earlier i do not recommend mech mod for a newbie. Regulated are way better to learn and get into the whole thing.

    So i'd say:
    Mvp2
    Sigelei 20w
    Seven 22

The mvp will not realy perform better than itaste but it'll have longer battery life. The others will perform better due higher wattage, which it seems like what you want.

Well I DO want higher wattage but that may be something I'll have to get into at a later date. Or whenever my budget allows me to splurge on something more high end. But I am also very excited about the battery life, as that was probably 60 percent of my quarrel with the VV. You guys are awesome by the way, the info here just miles and above anywhere else I've gone, even the owner of the B&M store I go to. She is very cool and level headed but she tends to 'push' certain products, like eGo's... Blech

Well in that case MVP 2 will do you good. :)
If you order online though you could buy sigelei for almost your budget.

This is just took from google i've no idea how reliable these shops are.
    Sigelei 20W
    Sigelei 20W - $74.95 - WORLDofVAPE

    Edit:

Yea or fasttech but then you'll have to wait for 3-4 weeks until you get it. That's the downside with FT but they got incredible prices.

The links i posted i think are US shops, i google sigelei 20w us shop. :)
Hard to tell due i'm from sweden so i'm not too familiar with US shops.
