inability to see if a conversation has been read

Up until very recently, I was able to go to a message and see if it had been read. Often I don't expect or require a reply, but I very much appreciated being able to tell it had at least been read. Was this eliminated for a reason?

I've noticed it as well. I'll talk to the server guys and see why it was disabled.

I just checked the settings and it hasn't been turned off. This means there's a conflict somewhere that we're going to have to trace.
