I have been noticing inconsistent performance with my M401, particularly after refilling carts. Sometimes I will get great vapor, others only burn aftertaste, even with relatively fresh carts and batteries. What I think may be happening is that the inner cup is going too far down in the cartridge and then not wicking properly. Tonight it happend with a freshly filled cart. Using a paperclip I pushed the inner cup up probably 1/16 and vaper went right back to normal.

Okay, I tried another mod tonight. After thinking about the placement of the inner cartridge I started thinking about the draw being a little harder than I like. So I drilled the hole a little larger in a cartrige. BIG difference! I now get lots of vapor all the time. Boiled through the little cartridge in no time flat, though...

I have been reading for a few weeks now and i got my new m401 a few days ago.

I have a questions if you do not mind (im a newbie and can not start a post yet), i have had and used my m401 with the 4 hole atty for a couple of days now and it seems the carts last for only 40 or so drags. Then the vape just stops as if its out of liquid.
I install a new cart, wait five minutes and its vaping great again.

I assume i should unscrew the atty after each use?
I have not been doing this.
Is the atty drying out the cart when sitting in my pocket for a couple of hours between breaks at work?

I hit my 401 about 10-15 times then put it back into my shirt pocket (cart facing up) and go back to work (i have a pen clip on mine).
During my second break at work i get a very week vapor hit. By the time i take my third break this thing is not vaping at all. I can replace the cart and it start vaping great.

Over all the vape is ok but i would like for them to last larger and i would also like a larger vapor hit so i an thinking of dipping/dripping also, i just have not orderd any liquid yet.

Any advice would be great and thanks in advance.
Lee :)

You can dip or drip one or two drops on the the atomizer bridge with the cartridge in the mouthpiece. Or you can push the cartridge up to the top with a paperclip and drip into the wicking material. It helps to poke the wicking material with a paperclip when you are adding drops to keep the juice from pooling at the top.

If you're brave, you can drip without pushing the cart up and hope your drops land in the tiny cartridge. You will get juice in you mouth sooner or later dripping it the cartridge without pushing it up.

Or you can get a small syringe to direct the juice in the cartridge without pushing the cartridge.

Save your caps, cartridges, plugs. This way you can fill a couple of cartridges at night and plug them for the next days use. That is if you are not going to dip or drip the atomizer directly. Remember no more than two drops if your dripping the atomizer.

Drain your atomizers at night in a crumpled up paper towel or napkin so the metal bridge is facing down. The paper towel keeps them from falling over. Blow them out with can air or your mouth from the battery hole side.
