I vape a lot, and yes when near smoke detectors I have set them off, and there has been film on windows. Still no where near the levels of a pack a day habit. My advice is to make a exit plan though, as the other person seems to be looking for a excuse to be rid of all things that may or may not cause COPD, I have lived with a person that had (and I say had) because they have beat the Cancer but will always have COPD because of the abuse they have done to their self of years of smoking, and the workplace standards of the past. And I know for a fact that I have very positive results from the doctors reports for myself. So best of luck to you, You can't change other people or their mindset, If It was myself I would ask if it bothered that person, If yes either try to curb your vaping in the house or find other options. Good luck either way. Hope you can find a way to better health for both of you.

Wow 30ml that’s a lot!

Yum pancakes!

My wife of 41 years had an instant negative reaction to vaping but I think she might be easing up.

When she sees the results of no longer inhaling hot carbon monoxide, particulate matter and unknown quantities of other chemicals multiple times per day she may come around. I am only at 39 years pleasantly wedded but Mrs CMD came around.

If my daughter is home when I vape it she says it smells like pancakes. Then she starts craving pancakes and I wind up fixing pancakes for dinner.
If it was my job to come up with click bait headlines, I could say that means vaping causes munchies.. :|

Both my wife and I vape in the house, but we are mtl vapors at 60 to 70vg. Both vape 3mls a day on average, so in the house perhaps half of that and in 8 years, we have not noticed any kind of build up on anything, but perhaps its because we do regular cleanings so it doesn't have time to build up, not sure....

I've never had my vaping set off a smoke alarm in my house, friends' houses, nor in vacation home rentals or hotel rooms I've stayed in. But, I'm a Tootle Puffer and don't blow big clouds at all.

About the only place I notice any slight film at all, (from the VG in my eliquids), is on the inside of my car windshield. That's likely because I'm only about 1.5 feet from it, and blowing straight at it, while driving and vaping. I've never noticed any so far on my TV screen, which is about 12' from my favorite place to sit in my living room. Living room is 18' x 22' though and has a cathedral ceiling, so that may help. No big clouds from me in those places either though.
In a hotel/restaurant I used to work in, one of the managers was sitti g in the office puffing away on his pico and managed to set off the hotels smoke alarms - the detector was right above his head

Beware of blowing clouds into computer air intakes. Laptops included. I recently repaired the laptop of a vaper friend. Fans and PCB were covered in a sticky mix of fine dust and what must have been VG, one tiny fan was struggling to rotate.

Same effect as Annas mini air filter thing, except with an unwanted result.

I've fixed the overheating and buzzing noise says I, now puff out of the window, I do!

I told everyone if they didnt like my vaping inside they could go outside. Simple, clear cut and decisive.
Just draw a line in the sand, stand firm and dont let anyone cross over it.

    Thank me later.

I’ll try that, thanks! Just in case, do you have a guest room?

I vape at least 10-15 mls of 70% vg a day in my house. We used to smoke in here. And yes there is some residue - I do not clean as much as I used to, but smoking made so much more mess than vaping.

I only really notice vg residue on the mini blinds and the windows in my front room, but that’s where I vape all morning while I have my coffee. And it’s a small 10x12 room.

Since it’s my house, I do what I want. When it was ‘our’ house we discussed it and agreed to vape inside. When it’s someone else’s house, I ask.

Since I own it and am solely responsible for cleaning it, I don’t find it to be a problem. Seriously my cooking is really hard on everything though lol.

Vape spew, is what I call it. Somewhat like smoking, it produces a very fine mist of stuff that just about covers everything. The good news is that this spew is water soluble and a rag and warm water cleans it up nicely with no staining or anything left behind.

    BOL.

I vape exclusively indoors when at home. The thought of taking it outside is foreign to me except where bad regulations require. I put my trust in the science that has shown that residual vapor contains no significant concentrations of anything harmful.
A study of air quality in a vape shop came back with no significant concentrations of formaldehyde or other toxins. All chemicals measured were below occupational exposure limits. [CDC]

Don't blow big clouds near your home's smoke detector if it's one of the newer models. The new ones can be set off by too much cloud.
I solved that problem by going back from 80/20 to 50/50 liquid. not only will the clouds dissolve quicker, but they're heavier and won't build up below the ceiling so easily.
