Whooo whoo! Thanks so much for the review, Lord Devon! I've been planning to get one of the 'Gentry wood' Indulgences (ala txtumbleweed's), just as soon as I can swangle it into my 'ittle vape budget, and your review told me exactly what I needed to know. As an aside.. this is the first review of yours I've seen, and though I'm a clever girl, and have watched a ton of reviews, you hit a couple of points that had flat out never occurred to me (though I've been vaping for close to 3 years, and spend WAY too much time on ecf). We're talking silly 'common sense' things, like firing batts the first time off charger away from your person... great idea, but your mention was the first I'd ever heard of it. Very clever. Anyway, will definitely keep an eye out for your reviews in the future, and thanks so much for setting my mind at ease about my next mod purchase. I'm wondering if the curvy wooden body will improve on the 'slick finish' issue, or will make it even worse because of the 15+ coatings of fine sanded clearcoat on body. lol Just crossing fingers I don't drop the darn thing and ruin the finish. ;)

The wood mod will be here next week. There was a problem with shipping. It is an XL3 Wood, so I wont have to review the electronics again, and I can concentrate on the woodwork.

Its one of Gentry's? I wouldn't bother preparing too much for that review... just set that sucker on a turntable under a light and we can drool on our keyboards for 10 mins or so. rofl I am curious how durable the finish is, but gosh... pretty much blasphemy to damage it deliberately. Not sure what sort of paces you're gonna put it thru, but will be exciting to see.

Oh, btw, please please tell me you got one of the matching wood drip tips with your mod and cone? THAT is something I'm curious about.. how those feel and perform. ;)

Good. I'll let you knock it around a bit to see what it takes to ruin the finish.

I did my part with the IPro weight bearing test.

Mine have been real durable so far. I've dropped it a couple of times and once it rolled off my bed and across the floor. It didn't scratch it at all but did break my beautiful driptip.

Ooh, tx, thanks for that! I wasn't sure if I set it down hard on a table the finish was gonna shatter, or what. Great to know they can stand up to regular use without dying, or getting cloudy and funky.

btw, been dying to ask you... how do you get a big avatar like that? Is the size larger when you're a supporting member, or is it a trick or something? None of my mini artworks work very well on tiny canvas. lol

I know there are some benefits for being a supporting member and I think that is one of them. It definately isn't a trick because I don't know any when it comes to posting things.

Yes, one of the benefits it's a slightly larger avi. :)
