If I'm not mistaken...

PG increases throat hit and flavor

whereas

VG increases vapor production and liquid viscosity (thickness)

VG juices are desirable to those who want thicker juice. And VG is considered more "natural" and therefore preferred by some.

Most vendors use a blend to balance these factors but offer differing pg to vg ratios to suit customer demand.

Over the edge...
VG produces a lot of vapor and some flavor.
PG produces flavor and throat hit and less vapor.
There are exceptions but in general a mix of PG/VG is the norm. I'm sensitive to PG so I use 100% VG or close to it.
Some vendors will mix to your specifications if you ask. Experiment and see what works for you. It seems you will be a PG person.:)

I have tried 100% PG and I can't inhale those anymore than I can tolerate the 80% VG. It seems the flavor is the main irritant for my lungs. I have only found one that goes down smoothly w/o causing an asthematic attack. Cinnamon redhots from VaporGod. i have 40%VG on that one, but just ordered a 60%VG bottle to see if I can narrow it down.

alot of flavorings have PG in them, so keep that in mind. I would try a 100%pg mix,and a 100%VG (with VG flavorings) and see what the difference is. When i use alot of PG (over 70%, i cough like i did when i "Smoked"). With VG, all you need to do is simply raise the flavoring percentage to overcome the taste difference (and VG is sweeter) - but negatively, more flavoring does cost more so PG mixes are cheaper in that aspect, and VG can clog up your equipment if not thinned enough.
