Well, I just received my e-cigarette from puresmoker.com, and I have to say I am already impressed.
First of all, Steve's been a pleasure to do business with. His customer service is top notch. But I know you guys are sick of hearing people heap praise on him (I bet he's not sick of it, though
), so I'll stop there, adding only that he gave me an extra charger too!
The flavor is not what I anticipated, but not bad. A little plasticky. It has an almost artificial grape flavor, in my opinion. Definitely acceptable, and especially since not many people like to kiss a smoker. I did notice a mild "peppery" nicotine taste - recognizable to anyone who's tried nicotine gum.
The vapor draw took me a few tries to get right. I would compare proper "draw technique" to smoking a well-packed hookah. You can't just take a quick drag, like you can on a cigarette (or at least I can't, yet), but the vapor is nice and actually, I do get a pretty nice throat hit. Or at least one that definitely reminds me a cigarette - I coughed the first time I used it!
The device feels very solid in my hands, does not feel cheaply made. The whistley hiss of the intake hole does kind of make me feel like something's loose, but I will definitely be able to get over that. It's a little heavy, but I do not ever hold a cigarette in my mouth (the smoke up my nose and in my eyes stings too much) so that is not a problem.
I can't wait to try various kinds of liquid. I'm a big fan of fruity hookah flavors, so a mango or a peach would probably be right up my alley.
Miscellaneous notes:
-I had no idea the cartridges were as wet as they are. Going to have to keep them wrapped when I bring them places in my pocket or backpack.
-I LOVE the blue LED. It's very Blade Runner/Philip K. **** in a futuristic, chic, urban kind of way.
-Absolutely zero residual smell in the air. That is great!
Anyway - you guys have been a tremendous source of help and info. Thanks for that. I am hoping this will replace my long-time habit of real smoking. So far, so good!
