Ok so i got an MVP here that one side of the button recessed inward and it stems from the poor spacing behind the chipset that hosts the fire button..

this mod is functional, but far from what i would call successful.

the end result was the button now does not sit flush, but sticks out about 3mm on one side. It feels as though it will work its way inward over time, but still did not do what i intended..

on the upside, the button sensitivity has increased dramatically making it easier to fire, (so you dont press it as hard as you used to have too, which caused the problem origionally.)

anywho, here are the pics..

This is the MVP dissassembled.. The spacers are seen here, held on with double sided tape, (yes. Thats what the screws thread into)

i set the spacing (kinda) with a bead of hightemp hot glue.

not the best way, but it did work.

I then set the chipset in place, and filled the recesses with hot glue " potting" the chipset into place.

With the increased spacing, i had to sand the fire button down, i also smoothed the raised round contact area (not shown in photo)

end result was a slightly raised button (probably stems from the origional " bead" i layed down. Maybe using a polymer bushing or a non conductive spacer of some sort would have been better.

i also killed the red LED on reassembly.. It occured as i tried to " massage" the button flush on the unit. Grrrrrr..

anyways, hope this gives someone with more talent an idea of how to properly repair this problem.
