► Innokin Endura S1 Kit; First Impressions:
Innokin S1 is a pocket-sized disposable device with a good degree of finishes, S1 uses more valuable construction materials than what is found in competitor devices.

Innokin for this test sent me Endura S1 with a fantastic "Graphite" coloring, really nice and with metallic reflections. This vape pen form factor device is really small and light, yet it feels sturdy to the touch right away, as the body is made of solid aluminum alloy and the dark colored PCTG cartridge is also thick. To complete the finishes there are two vertical white writings that are pleasant and not very invasive; the handle has a round shape and bears the writing "Innokin". The front side in the center bears the writing "Endura S1", the side is flattened to favor an excellent grip of the fingers.

On the bottom of Endura S1 there is a small hole (MTL) which allows the passage of air towards the coil. The USB-C charging socket is flanked by an LED light. During use the light is Blue and when the device is empty the light will flash 10 times. During recharging, the LED flashes and becomes steady when the battery is fully charged. The internal battery is 650mAh and fully recharges in about 50 minutes.

Innokin Endura S1 is the simplest device that can exist, it adopts an integrated tank with a liquid capacity of 2ml. The coil integrated in the device is a 0.8Ω kanthal Mesh which is pushed to a constant power of about 13W, this combination allows you to optimize battery life, moreover the Endura S1 Mesh-coil is rated to withstand recharges total of 30ml of e-liquid to obtain about 7000 puffs during its life cycle.

The PCTG cartridge has a slender shape with a classic integrated duckbill-shaped drip tip that is comfortable to the lips. The side filling system is protected by a liftable silicone rubber, the filling port is a good size and allows you to insert up to 2ml of e-liquid into the cartridge. In the user guide it is recommended to keep the pod at least 1/3 full for optimal performance and to avoid premature burn-out of the coil.

► Innokin Endura S1 Kit; Vaping Test & Final Conclusions:
This Vape Pen is a disposable, however I have not found any indication of how it should be broken down for recycling. The rather attractive peculiarity of S1 is that it can be filled with your favorite e-liquid, moreover S1 is rechargeable thanks to the USB-C socket on the bottom. During all these days of testing (about 20 days) I never got tired of using Endura S1, finding it really convenient to fill without having to remove cartridges or unscrew tanks, and checking the internal liquid is really simple thanks to the transparent cartridge. Initially I expected the battery to be short in a little time and the led light would turn red soon, but the light stayed blue the whole time, so I realized that I only had to recharge my S1 when the vapor output was fading.

I have made quite heavy use of this device using Colonel Custard with 4mg ml of nic. The flavor and delivery of nic really is as it should be. No loss of e-liquid and no condensation, the S1 is probably one of the best entry level kits from this point of view as well. The automatic extraction doesn't miss a beat and the puff it gives is an excellently calibrated MTL type, not too restricted, followed by an abundant amount of decidedly interesting steam. I was surprised as the internal coil resisted well beyond the 30ml consumption declared by Innokin for its life cycle. Probably using more sugary liquids the life of the coil would have been shorter, however I can definitely be satisfied with the result obtained. Overall I would recommend this Kit because it allows you to switch easily and naturally from smoking to vaping, also allowing users to be able to choose their favorite e-liquid without being forced to buy only the pre-filled cartridges with flavors and nic concentrations that manufacturers make available.

    • Thanks to Innokin for sending me the Endura S1 Pod Kit for this test:

    • Thank you for reading.
