Innokin I16 replacment advice needed, plus bonus question.

I have the innokin MVP 2.0 and the coil head burned out. I don't like filling it all the time and thought maybe there is a better and bigger tank. Would you just replace the coil head and keep it or get something else that is definitely BETTER.

I did not like the reviews on the I30.

Next question I got my wife the VV3.0 and I would like something like that for me to take for my "on the road" cig. Is there something much better for the same money or should I just get me one of those to?

I assume by "I16 & I30" you mean the iClear clearomizers. In the past few months, they've been eclipsed by a variety of, recently introduced, clearos and glassos by Kanger, Aspire and Anyvape.

If you are not a rebuilder - then I'd suggest looking at those brands, and perhaps reading reviews (in ECF - clearomizer forums) on the various models like the Kanger Aerotank, the assorted full size (510) and mini (eGo) Protank variations... and the Aspire Nautilus. All are glass tanks, allowing any juice.

There is really nothing more feature packed for it's "stick" form factor, self-contained power and discounted pricing than the iTaste 3.0 - 101 Vapes has them for $26... and good pricing on Kanger glassomizers as well.

Try the Mini-protank 2 or its bigger brother the Protank 2. Another good choice is the Nautilus. This might fit the gap you are looking for. The one thing is that these are bottom coils and have a nice airy draw. The Iclear16 that came with your MVP are probably top coils and in my opinion have really tight draw and are hotter vape. If you like the way the devices i recommended hit then by all means look at getting a Kayfun 3.1 or Russian 91%. The KFL and R91 are awesome devices but at $90 i would be hesitant to tell you to dive right in.

this is what we prefer on our mvp and ego style models... 19mm Cartomizer Tank

you'll need a set of caps and a tube for each tank. it's prudent to have one extra tube around in case you somehow manage to break one. it's also suggested to have at least one refilling tool... maybe one for each person if you'll be separated for any length of time. (days or weeks)

you'll also need a 510 drip tip for each tank or device. it's also a good idea to have extras since they're the most likely thing to break if you should drop your device with your tank connected. you can buy drip tips anywhere. there are a lot of options to color coordinate and/or suit your fancy.

we like the xl tubes for more volume. that way we refill less often.

so far we prefer these cartos... Boge 510 XL LR Stainless (Laser Punched - 2 hole) - (5pack)

they're your wick and coil and they just slide right in. you do have to prime them, though. when you get your tanks you'll get a trifold pamphlet with instructions of how to "fiddle with your thingy". fiddling with your thingy means priming your carto while installed in the tank.

Hate the iClear 30 but the 30s is pretty nice. Also hate the iClear 16. If you want a bigger tank with less chance of leaks and gurgling and nice vapor and flavor give the Aspire ET or Vivi Nova a try. They are wickless BDC's.

As far an an "on the road" why not just grab another MVP 2 at the current sale prices. Not that bad to take along and you can charge it with your cell phone charger and use it at the same time. Uses a standard micro USB charger.

The Aspires ET and Vivi Nova's do have wicks and can be rebuilt. The wicks are just really small and inside the coil head instead of looking like an ugly mess in the chamber.

Guess they found a way. I know early on it wasn't thought that they could be rebuilt when someone first made a video of one being torn down. When there is a will there is a way.

Looking for the video for you and they do have wicks but they look like they would be a booger to rebuild. So i guess we each get 1/2 credit on that answer.

The iTaste VV3 is the best smaller form factor ego battery I know of. I have 2 of them and use them more than any other device I have, same features as the MVP and can be charged with a common phone charger. As far as clearos go, I actually really like the iClear 16. There is definitely better out there but I find them pretty solid. I don't get leaks, flooding, gurgling, the TH and flavor aren't bad, and they are easy to clean and dry burn. Plus they are cheap and I like to bring a couple of them when I'm on the go to switch up flavors. The Vapeonly BCC is pretty good too... at least the two that I have.
