Getting a lot of dry hits, trying different things to fix it but it only helps (very) temporarily.

What should I do next? I loved this atty up until this started happening.

Maybe not so much dry hits, more of an occasional burnt taste that I'm unable to fix. I think I need to buy new coils, I made the mistake of not picking up spares. Hoping that might fix it. Has this happened to anyone else?

This happened to me when it was really dark and I thought I had plenty of liquid but sure enough it was completely bone dry the next day when I woke up and checked it. I let it get to low and I burned the cotton in the coil. All I had to do was replace the coil and it was good as new.

I don't think I ever let it get low enough to burn the cotton in the coil, but I could've. I don't remember. Either way I'm pretty sure that I have to change the coil to fix it, because I've tried pretty much everything else. I'll pick up some coils tomorrow. Thanks!

I've found that I get a lot of dry hits from my iSub especially using high VG juice.

I pulled apart a used coil and found that the cotton wicking is stuffed VERY tight through the coil - so much so that I think it's choking the juice flow.
Now when installing a new coil, I first take a set tweezers (fine point) and pull out a very small amount of cotton from the center of the wick - this loosens up the wicking a bit and I think allows better juice flow.
My iSub performs much more consistently doing this, imho.
