vapor beast has both TC 18650 kits now. Fathers day code DAD for 15% off. The travel kit is under $40 with that. I couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger. Lots of mods under $40 now. I don't need any.
I like the "V" too.Gerry, it's a wonderful looking device, and the chatter about it has been superlative. I'm so glad you've found another device that floats that Gerry boat! The price? Amazing.
(for me, it's a sort of back burner mod. i like the "v" as in variable.)![]()

We're still talking about voltage here right?
Or, hopefully, at least "variable"!![]()
I have the innokin MVP2 and VV3. I am thinking of upgrading. How much better are the latest generations of both of these? Any known problems? I've had these two for over two years with no problems, so I'm kind of sold on the quality of their products. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
As was mentioned by @garyoa1, the MVPs and VVs are getting hard to find--but not impossible. I believe the MVP 3 and MVP 3 Pro are easier to find than the VV4s.I have the innokin MVP2 and VV3. I think the closest to the glory days of the ole MVP today is;
the CoolFire IV 18650 - JMO

Hows the TC on these? Work well?I won one in a contest. I am quite pleased with it. At least you are in for the long haul since there is no internal battery to finally tire out making the device useless.

While it doesn't have on-board charge, the CFIV-18650 is, imo, a better choice. August 8 is right around the corner, so mods that take easily sourceable batteries like 18650 are better for the long haul. ALL batteries will eventually reach end of life. If it's built in, not so easy to replace - IF you can find the right lipo pack and have the right skill set.
And it's easy enough to carry a spare, fresh battery, suitably insulated. There are silicone rubber "sleeves" for single cells, not much bigger than the cell is.
