I was actually looking at the MVP 3 Pro; the express kit is only $54.99, so $10 off would make it only $44.99 -- within my reach. :D I'd really love a white mod, but all the others, even the lowest price is over $50.

Yep I was considering that as well, but I have the mvp 3 and don't really like the size and weight of it, really love the Coolfire 4. Can't go wrong either way!

Some Cool Fire's have more gap than others, the 510 isn't quite flush on all of them. Mine is unfortunately not totally flush and with long 510 atties there is quite a gap {1mm}. My kayfun leaves much less, it bumps right against the 510.

As far as damage goes, not likely to happen even with a gap. The threads are stainless steel. My Vamo has a huge gap with all atomizers and brass threads, I have dropped it more times than I can count and the threads are still okay. I don't have a nautilus to test but if they are known to have a long 510 there will be a gap.
Oh that's a bummer, I must've lucked out. I could maybe slip a sheet of paper in the gap of mine. Hope my new blue one is all good. If it was bad I'd just exchange it anyway.

Yeah the size is really my only gripe with any of the MVPs (well actually.. the ones before the v3 had the button on the wide face instead of the side, and I HATE that). I've actually looked at the Kanger Kbox Mini in white several times today, but the best prices I can find are pre-orders from either 3FVape or Cigabuy -- about whom I know nothing, either of them, and I'm not wild about that pre-order idea. But that might be the one I end up getting, once it's more widely available.

They're fixing some things with the Subox and giving it a spring loaded 510. I went with the CF4 because of that, and I prefer built in batteries. It's a really nice looking mod though. The MVP is great, but not pocket friendly for me at all. If it had rounded corners I could be okay with the weight. I have the Evic VT and love it, but have heard people have issues with high resistances. If you subohm it's a great mod. Only way I'd prefer anything to the CF4, is the exact same size with better battery life. I learned I don't need temp control at all, I don't like using super low resistance, and nickel is .15ohm, flies through juice.

Yeah, I don't get anywhere near sub-ohm; usually about 1.5Ω in my kayfuns, and I'm seeing outstanding results from a 1.9Ω in the Achilles; might try a plain old 2Ω next time. The original Kbox, it only offers "preset" wattage levels, and at the low end, neither 8w nor 13w suits me, so I knew right off that one was a no-go. But at 3FVapes, they show that this new mini kbox can be adjusted in .1w increments, which is one of the things I most love about the iSticks, that fineness of control. But I really don't like the pre-order idea, so I'm stuck with waiting anyway. *sigh*

Looks like for this past payday (yesterday), all I'm buying is a couple of driptips I ordered yesterday from MadVapes -- another black delrin knucklehead, and a white one too -- hence my search for a white mod. :D

I was looking into purchasing the Cool Fire 4 but with all the tank gap problems I am now looking at the MVP 3 Pro. Right now I have a Nautilus Mini and iStick 20W. I just started vaping in Feb. I'm going to get an isub G tank when I upgrade the mod but with all these mod/tank options my head is spinning.

Stupid question but will the Nautilus Mini work on the MVP 3 Pro? Was wondering if there's too much power and don't want to mess up the tank as it isn't sub-ohm. I want a dependable mod that's not known for a ton of issues and isn't $100+. Also, any gap issues on the MVP 3 Pro...any/all tanks that anyone can mention if there is a gap? Thank you for the advice/info in advance!

Wow, thanks for the coupon!!!! I have to pull the trigger now.

By all means don't let the pin issue stop you. Like I posted before, the new subtank fit fine and there are several other options in the RTA group. I believe I was the very first ECF'r to receive this mod and I have sang the accolades of the CFIV here several times. I find it to be one of the most comfortable mods of the many I have owned and certainly the most comfortable box mod.

Capt, is the CF4 too heavy to use with a lanyard? I have one coming and I bought it specifically because of the lanyard tang. I want t use it while riding the tractor and such. I don't mind a little weight, the VTR is fine, but if it's heavier I might need some "adjustment time".

I think I got jinxed reading the last few pages. My MVP3.0 is jumping around when reading ohms. I thought I pushed a button the other day, but it has continued. I have not tried to lift the pin because it is fairly new, but I tried different toppers on it and it is rather consistently NOT reading the ohms like two other mods. I have a few RTAs with adjustable 510 pins and they don't seem to help getting an accurate reading from my MVP3.0. They do fine elsewhere.

I tried the toppers on my old MVP2 and they registered there fine. It seems isolated to my MVP3.0. I am wondering if it is a board issue.

Anyway, I am not a techie so I don't know how that would affect other boards within the Innokin line.

If you're male, it won't be a problem. If you're female... well, I certainly wouldn't want it banging into MY delicate chestical protrusions. :D

No chestical protrusions other than muscles. I'm a male, LOL!

Should work fine then. Me, I didn't like having my Sigelei Zmax or Vamo banging me there -- I've perfected my ability to hold the steering wheel and my mod in the same hand. :D Yes, of course I have the other hand on the wheel too, but for turns, you really need both -- I do, anyway.

The tractor doesn't have power steering and sometimes two hands are necessary. I'm been using another mod, ruggedized, but would rather be able to just sort of drop it when I need to.

Just make sure it's a strong chain and whatever fastener you use to attach it; it's a fairly heavy mod. No idea how it compares to the VTR, which I've heard is REALLY heavy. The CF IV doesn't seem *abnormally* heavy, but it's definitely got some heft.

It isn't that heavy but it isn't an ego either. It is no where near the weight of a VTR. It is almost identical to the weight of the MVP (actually a couple of grams heavier.) It would beat you up if you were trying to run with one around your neck but if you just need to let go of it to keep one hand on the wheel and the other to grab the PTO lever you will be fine. Personally, I think the tractor needs a mod holder :)

My CF4 arrived today despite USPS best efforts to make me wait until someplace froze over. I weighed it with a half full Fogger V4.1 with a 45mm stainless drip tip (normal setup) and it came in at 236 grams. Just a little heavier than an iStick30 with the same setup. That's pretty flyweight by my standards.

I got the violet/purple one for Mrs. Awsum and I think she'll like it, that's a nice color.

I only use subtanks. The gap is so small I really don't see how it world affect the threads unless you dropped it. But if you drop it, it could damage the threads regardless of the gap lol.

Head over to vapordna. Use code VTRz7Zws5k for $10 your shiny new purple Coolfire 4!

I made a booboo and didn't get a chance to order this yesterday, now the code won't work  Is there anyway I can get another one for the $10 off? Pretty please and thank you!

Oh no! I'll look around after work but that's the only good deal I saw like that where they actually had a lot of the colors in stock. They even sent me this link to refer a friend. Maybe try it with this link and see. If not there was a 10% off somewhere also.
