Hello, today we are going to take a look at the Trine SE Pod mod Kit sent to me by innokin. I will examine in this Test each of the features that distinguish this item. I hope that at the end of this reading you will have understood this product, and therefore decide whether to invest in it or not. As always, my opinions are free and based on my personal experience.

The front of the rigid cardboard package reports the complete nomenclature and general warnings regarding this device. The wording "3 in 1" accompanies the image of the Trine SE kit. On the back are listed; warnings, packing list, scratch & check, Qr-Code and the address of Shenzhen Innokin Technology Co., Ltd. On the sides of the box are reported; the name of the device and some main features in the form of icons.

The new Trine Pod Mod SE also houses a 1,000mAh rechargeable battery that can be recharged many times like a normal battery, however at the end of its life cycle the battery can be disposed of and replaced with a new one without having to change the device. The battery can be removed from the Mod at any time via two side buttons, so you can perform maintenance if necessary, cleaning the battery and mod contacts with a cotton ball soaked in isopropyl alcohol. This new "Green" solution gives credit and honor to Innokin who has always been sensitive to ecology. Furthermore, the battery being removable can be recharged separately with an external charger, further safeguarding the device's circuit without tiring it unnecessarily.

The removable battery can be recharged directly from the 1A Usb-c port on the side profile of the Mod. The LED indicator that is present on the body of the Mod during charging will remain red up to 90% of the charge level; then the LED will turn green from 90 to 100% and then turn off when the charge is complete. While vaping you can check the current charge level through the color of the LED in this way:
• Red LED: The current charge level is equal to or less than 10%.
• Yellow LED: The current charge level is between 10 and 30%.
• Green LED: The current charge level is greater than 30%.

► Innokin Trine SE; Adjustable Airflow:
The airflow control is located laterally in a comfortable position for the fingers, the AFC slot has a sliding adjustment via a small and sturdy metal knob; you can completely open the 3 calibrated holes (RDL), or select two or just one (MTL), or completely close all the holes for really narrow MTL extractions.

Innokin sent me two different versions of Trine SE for this Test; both are metallic in color, one shiny and the other with green shades. On one side of the Mod there is the LED and the Innokin brand, while on the other side there is the writing "Trine SE". There are no activation buttons, so the operation is completely automatic. The chipset automatically selects the ideal power for each cartridge based on the resistance installed.

On the bottom of the compartment, you can see 2 opposing rectangular magnets, this position of the magnets allows a solid attachment of the Pod, next to the magnets there are 2 spring-loaded and gold-plated pins for better electrical conductivity. Also on the bottom there is the sensor for automatic activation of the shot, it is located inside a fixed raised pin.

► Innokin Trine SE; Vcap Pod:
The two pods included in the kit look the same, but are slightly different; the main difference is the orange colored internal base for the 0.6Ω Mesh/Pod (20-22W RDL), while the 0.8Ω Mesh/Pod (12-14W RDL/MTL) is colored in blue. The new Vcap cartridge has a capacity of 2ml of e-liquid and stands out from the mass of Pods for integrating an easy filling system; you can fill by simply pulling the top cap from the cartridge and without removing the cartridge from the mod.

The Vcap platform also includes the 1.2Ω Mesh/Pod (11-12W MTL) with a green colored internal base. It is available and can be purchased separately, each replacement package contains only one Vcap/pod cartridge.

► Innokin Trine SE; Final conclusions:
In the vaping test, the Trine Pod SE is equivalent to the previous Trine Pod as the airflow adjustments are the same and the type of cartridges does not change, so this Trine SE, being very similar to its predecessor, also has the possibility of recharging the battery separately and replacing and disposing of it when it is exhausted. So in the future you can replace the battery with a new one without having to change the device. A note; The 1,000mAh Trine SE battery is perfectly compatible with the original Trine.

• Vcap Mesh / Pod 1.2Ω (10-11W MTL) purchasable separately:
The application of Mesh technology is felt, this Mesh coil offers rapid activation. With the air regulation set to the largest air passage, the vapor production is surprisingly massive for a cartridge intended for MTL use, in this configuration the flow is loose, and by reducing the air passage you get a really narrow shot in perfect MTL style. The perception of the hit in the throat (Hit) is mild, however the flavor is at excellent levels with a vapor that is always fresh. With this disposable cartridge, the vaporization is always fluid and regular, the vapor never becomes too hot. I have not detected any condensation inside the compartment/pod.

• Vcap Mesh/Pod 0.8Ω (12-14W MTL/RDL):
This Mesh Coil allows you to tune your Trine SE to a rather wide and satisfying MTL range. The puff remains fluid even in the narrowest airflow position, with a dark and silent sound, good throat hit with a more than satisfying flavor. By opening the airflow you get a more fluid puff and greater vapor production, with the open airflow the throat hit is less but remains well balanced. This cartridge does not produce condensation and I really believe that with its excellent performance it will be able to satisfy many vapers.

• Vcap Mesh/Pod 0.6Ω (20-22W RDL):
This Mesh/Coil allows you to get a satisfying and balanced RDL performance from your Trine SE without the vapor becoming too hot. With the airflow completely open, the clouds are dense and noticeably large. The flavor is absolutely good. Narrowing the airflow gives you a bigger throat hit, and the puff remains quite "loose". This is my favorite disposable cartridge, and I didn't notice any condensation while I was chasing clouds.

To conclude, the Trine SE proves to be extremely simple to use, but also very effective for staying away from analog smoking all day long thanks to the battery with a good energy reserve that doesn't let you down. Furthermore, the Trine SE with its excellent range of VCAP cartridges together with the adjustable airflow allows you to enjoy your favorite e-liquids with satisfaction and with a wide customization of the MTL-RDL draw, so you can rush to buy this new kit with maximum confidence.
