Has anyone tried this E-cig? American made, thinking about buying, so many problems with the imports. I like the reserve models and this one is totally unique except for the atomizer.

No never used them, and there are not "so many problems with the imports". The overwhelming majority of ecigs are imports, most people here are vaping them.

If you mean the mod Apex Alpha - yes - many mods are made in the US. If you mean the Joye 510 - those are made in China.

To find the ECF reviews/discussion of the Alpha, go to Google and do this search:

Has anyone tried innovapor? I want to order but its pricey. I like the reviews and demo on their website , but gun shy. I have had 2 leaky ego-w and ego-t and had to go back to my small 510 after the last ego batteries died in 5 days and would not recharge. I want something more solid and long lasting and there is about 7-8 American made cigs , but this is the only large/powerful one with a res that I have been able to find.

If you're talking about the Alpha and Res yes there are many happy users of it, their juice also gets great feedback. There are reviews all over the net, check out youtube among other places. Also there are many more than 7 or 8 American made ecigs, probably 100s but they are all mods, the proprietary stuff like 510/Ego and every other thing like it comes from China no matter where you purchase it from.

This has nothing to do with where the PVs are made from. Let's be honest. This is not some complicated device such as a cordless drill or a vacuum cleaner. This is nothing more than a battery housed in a plastic or metal casing with a switch. The part you attach to the battery called atomizer/cartomizer has an embedded heating element in it. That's all there is to it. So in essence what you're buying in America is just the housing with a switching device. The battery, charger, and the rest may all come from China. Probably even the small plastic bottles, syringes, etc.

I suggest that you guys as well as first timers buy one of these to give you a sense of what exactly a PV is made or composed of. This 2xAA Box Mod should have been my first e-cig, if you ask me. But I was stubborn. I went for cig look-alikes. Waste of money.

This 2xAA box mod is made in America, BTW.

The Apex Alpha models are comfortable to use...I have the Alpha Ultra with the RES...there is a bit of a learning curve, but you can do it.

Have you heard of problems with the ceramic tank flaking and going into the threads and making the threads gritty on the Alpha or the petina always tarnishing?

It does tarnish quickly...it's nickle...I let mine tarnish tho...it's getting really nice looking.

The RES do seem to have some grit that comes loose...I had it at first....take a toothpick and a toothbrush and scrub things out good...do this in a bowl of water rather than under running water...the weight of the grit falls down...put the RES in the bowl of water to swish it around too...the bowl worked much better on mine to let the grit fall out. I only had to do this one time (well, twice -once under running water and still having grit and the second time in the bowl of water).

If you want to keep it shiny, it's not that big of a deal to wipe it with the polishing cloth and rub it down of a morning before you leave.

Note: I got mine in May...and have had no further grit.
