The misinformation is propaganda created by Big Tobacco and Big Pharma to serve their self interests. These companies have a lot to lose ($$$) should e-cigarettes gain a majority of the market share. Both have powerful lobbyists in Washington, DC who protect their financial interests. By comparison, the e-cig makers are mostly small "mom & pop" affairs without the financial backing or lobbyist support like the big companies. The govenment gets kickbacks from BT and BP, so lawmakers tend to favor them when making laws and regulations.

When you find a study that is anti-e-cig, take note of who funded the study. Chances are it was funded either by Big Tobacco or Big Pharma. Most researchers depend upon funding to do their studies; they are not about to "bite the hand that feeds them", now are they?

Landmark Study
E-CIGARETTE VAPOR NO MORE DANGEROUS THAN AIR

Ingredients in E-Liquid:
Propylene Glycol - often used in asthma inhalers as the pressurized inhalent
Vegetable Glycerin - natural sweetner often used in many food products; used to create fog effects at concerts.
Flavoring agents - generally considered safe for oral consumption; more studies needed on the effects of inhalation.
Liquid nicotine - studies have shown no more dangerous than caffeine; the real danger of smoking is the end products of combustion (tars) leading to cancer, not nicotine itself. Being a vasoconstrictor, nicotine can have harmful effects on those who have existing heart disease, hypertension, or diabetes. On the other hand, nictotine may have benefitual effects delaying dementia, treating chronic intestinal diseases, etc.

Was just a question yo see if anyone has delved into it if it is possible

That is awesome but overall what have you learned about cigs verses vape and side effects point keys would be great im sick of people telling vape is the same as smoking
All you can do is educate yourself to educate them if they are open minded enough to listen. Be prepared to have your comments fall on deaf ears.

What Letitia said. :)

I cant put into a couple of neatly rounded sentences what I came to understand for myself or provide one specific link to one specific article that nails it, other than the link to a decade of published research papers.
By using different phrases in Google Scholars search bar you will find more research papers and many rabbit holes to disappear down.

Thankyou pg and vg is what thankyou if you havr the time
Pg and VG are the two bases used in e-cigarettes along with flavoring and nicotine. They generally make up the bulk of th eliquid. PG (proplyne glycol)is thinner, has a more neutral and clearer flavor, produces less vapor, and is more likely to create a sensitivity. VG (vegetable glycerine) is thicker, has a lightly sweet flavor, produces a lot more vapor, and tends to mute flavorings. Generally a mix of the two is used to create the desired characteristics of the juice.

I personally mix pure VG juice purely because it’s less complicated to have one type of base rather than two and VG is slightly cheaper.

Last summer I was vaping outside of a craft store in Yellow Springs, Ohio; home of Antioch College. It's considered to be a liberal and progressive community. One of the sales staff came up to me, a perfect stranger, and said, "You know vaping is more dangerous than smoking."

I turned to her and asked, "Did you read that on Face Book?"

She said, yes, as a matter of fact she did. I told her it was fake news and to find a better source of informative news media. I didn't bother trying to educate her, as anyone who depends upon Face Book for knowledge is beyond my pay grade.

I was simply explaining why there is so much misinformation out there in your other thread on the topic.

I did list a couple of studies that debunk the propaganda information.

Unless a vaper has a sensitivity to Pg or Vg, long term effects of using either seems to be negligible. I'm sure there are some studies somewhere to document that. You may wish to read this thread:

The one ingredient that may have some dangerous effects, in my opinion, would be flavoring agents. Diacetyl for the most part has been eliminated from e-liquid recipes.

Go to the CASAA website and explore the different topic headings. You should be able to find studies there.
