Howdy all!

I have cut a channel in the insulator of my Mutation X V3 with pretty good results. The Mutation is airy but I enjoy a thick cloud, don't consider myself a cloud chaser. Built 26 gauge dual to 0.6 ohm on 3/32 drill bit, KGD. Liking it almost as much as the RM7. Has anyone else done this? The positive pin is real tight and I am wondering if I can split the insulator creating two channels and a more even distribution of the juice?

I've cut the new black peak insulator like you mentioned on my derringer 1.3. For the juice channel. So now there's a nice gap on ea side of the post for juice and drainage. Works just fine.. was basicly the only option I had. The normal way with the new 2 piece post would not allow drainage.

I've also done that with a origin clone.. (rm4) without a problem either. There will still be enough left to keep the post from touching.
