Does anyone know the lowest ohm atty you can use and still be sure you're vaping at 6v? Put another way, what ohm triggers the atty protection routine?

Also, with the supplied 3ohm atty, should I be getting a very warm vape at 6v? I ask because the vapor is not very warm at all. So I'm not sure if I'm actually vaping a 6v... meaning I'm not sure if this thing is working right, because a 3ohm atty shouldn't trigger any cut in voltage. The flavor and TH are noticably better, but the warmth is really not there and the vapor production is less than what I was expecting. Perhaps the atty just needs to break in? Only used it for about 4 hours.

I just ordered a voltmeter at madvapes so I'll know what the voltage is underload. 3ohm at 6v might have tripped the protection thingy. Try sneaking up on it.. starting out at a lower voltage and increasing. This is why a voltmeter will be handy.. to know just how high you can go before it knocks you back down in voltage

Really? You think the 3ohm might trip the protection routine? Wow, I thought that was why they supplied that ohm, so you could experience the full range of the unit.

Let me ask you, is a voltmeter the same thing as a multimeter? I have a multimeter, but I just use it to test battery charge. Is there any way I can test the voltage output with a multimeter which just has the two terminal posts? Or when you say voltmeter, are you talking about that thing that screws into the 510 connection and has an LED readout?

I sure wouln't mind hearing back from you when you get that voltmeter and can test the voltage you're getting using the 3ohm atty.

I can do 6v with a 3ohm carto an it reads 5.8v on the meter with the battery at 3.7v and that will continue to go lower as the battery drains more, fresh battery 6v gives me 6.1 volts underload the carto ohms at 3.3 I"ll check a 2.2 atty in a sec for you

2.2ohm atty drops to 5.1
2.7 ohm DCC drops to 5.7

Awesome info guys. Thanks so much. I put on a couple of my 2.5ohm Joye attys and had some very nice vapes. A bit warmer too than the 3ohm. I also noticed an improvement with the 3ohm today, as I think it's beginning to break in.

Man, the flavors at those higher volts is something special. One or two I had to dial down a bit because they burned the back of my throat, but for the most part, I'm rockin' in a whole new flavor Universe. Wooot!!!
