We received a nice call last week from the producer of the Gabby Logan radio show inviting Intellicig to the London studio to contribute to a feature on Gabby's show.
The primetime BBC Radio 5 discussion show on Tuesdays features a regular spot on health matters; this week, electronic cigarettes were under the spotlight with representative views from Dr. Hilary Jones, the original 'Dishy Doctor' who first became famous appearing on GMTV in 1989 and continues to present for ITV's Daybreak show, Professor John Britton, chairman of the Royal College of Physicians Tobacco Advisory Group and Intellicig's own sales supremo, Anthony Sefton. It was nice for us to be invited to contribute and an indication that Intellicig is recognised as the industry leader at many levels. The high standard of ingredient purity, quality control and commitment to improvement and safety that Intellicig has demonstrated for two and a half years has obviously impressed the Royal College of Physicians spokesman, John Britton, who said that the type of standards Intellicig set are what he would expect the MHRA to insist upon when they regulate electronic cigarettes. We are well aware that there are people on some forums that are not big fans of ours and who believe that the vaping industry should be left alone and unregulated. However, John Britton's comments at the end were interesting to say the least, as he spoke about 'soft-touch' regulations that would facilitate the continued sale of electronic cigarettes. He indicated that the standards of safety and quality control that we have achieved are the levels at which the MHRA should be setting regulations. Whatever the detractors might think, this is good for the end users who deserve no less than a high level of quality assurance.
Best wishes
