Interested in buying an E-cig, but I want the best bang for my buck..

hi, i've been a smoker since I was 16, I'm 20 now and I usually smoke about a pack more or less a day. I want to know how long a cartridge lasts for say a blu e-cig, or any for type for that matter. The one website said it gives 250 puffs a cartridge, but i don't really know how that would translate into cigarettes or packs. Any help would be greatly appreciated because I want to order a Blu when I get paid this Friday and I need to know if the Blu is worth the price or should I go for a more inexpensive model? Also does the e-cig leave any smell, I know a few people have them that go to the same college as me and they're about to pass a smoking ban in the next year or so.

THANKS!

I think people are going to tell you to go with a Volt or a Bloog instead of Blu, but I haven't used any of those. I just see that people have been unhappy with Blu.

250 puffs for a cartridge is high. A cartridge is equal to a few cigarettes. A cartomizer lasts much longer, and it holds about 1 ml of nicotine liquid. Most people use anywhere between 1 and 5 ml of liquid a day.

The only smell is similar to smelling someone eating candy, gum or breath mints.

The best bang for your buck is a fat battery model - the Riva 510 Lite Bundle at Liberty-Flights.com after clicking the 20% off in the upper left of the fron page. Under $30 for 2 complete 750mah Rivas w/ LR attys. Most prefer cartomizers though, mainly Boge cartomizers (standard for warm hit, or LR for hotter hit that uses battery faster)

Blu is not a model many people are happy with for long. And the current Blu uses Cartomizers, not Cartridges. The best way to use cartos is not to run them dry. I certainly would not get 250 drags out of a carto and I don't even take big drags. Blu has joined the ranks of the lying glitzy sites that compete with their ridiculous claims for how long a cartomizer lasts. I use Boge cartos on Joye 510 manual and I keep them damp so I can get a week or more use out of each, rather than running them dry and singeing and ruining the flavor. And I used manual Joye 510 (slightly longer charge than Blu and w/ a similar PCC charging case available at NoSmokeVA.com). Manual 510 is totally sealed metal on the threaded end so safe from getting damaged or killed by cartomizer leaks. Manuals also give you more control of your hit and won't turn on accidentally from wind or vibration. Even Joye 510 is pretty short charge though - 180mah (100mah is about 1 hour of moderate vaping)

I started on a Riva 510 from Liberty-Flights.com. There is a 20% discount link on the top left-hand corner of every page on the site. I would recommend the Riva 510 Special Edition, it's a very good/reliable PV, but it doesn't look like a cigarette, it is the size of a Sharpie marker.

As far as flavors, that is tough. There really isn't anything that tastes like cigarettes, but many people here are happy with something called USA Mix it seems. I vape fruit and alcohol drink flavors (Strawberry, Peach, Pina Colada).

Hopefully others will post with good recommendations for you - I just wanted to prepare you for the news that Blu isn't going to be it.

DK-TAB is far better than USA Mix in my opinion.
:)

And to the OP...
--The Blu is FAR from being the best bang for your buck
--Whether or not there is any odor depends on which particular juice you are using

I'm going to do exactly what a previous poster mentioned and suggest a Bloog MaxxFusion or a Volt.

EDIT: And yeah, that 250 drags is a straight up lie

I want to know how long a cartridge lasts for say a blu e-cig, or any for type for that matter.
A Blu cartridge is one of the smaller ones, and will last quite a bit less than most.

How long any cartridge lasts depends on how much juice you use, and here is a poll showing the averages...
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/polls/153112-how-much-juice-do-you-use-per-day.html

A fairly large cartridge holds about 1ml of juice.
A Blu holds much less than that.
