Wow, this world is a whole lot bigger than I imagined
I have been a smoker for 33 years. NEVER thought I would be able to kick the habit but have been smoke free for 5 weeks now. Only been vaping for the past two. Pretty much nicotine free. It has been hard, but I don't think I would have made it if I hadn't bought an e-cig. Are there members on this forum who are not into the complicated "big-guns" and just here for some moral support and to follow info re juices and other people's experiences, good places to order, etc?
I have a "JustFog Maxi" (in South Africa and don't think we have the variety available that most of you do). Is that going to be ok to use on an ongoing basis?

Welcome Fog-e! Yep there are tons here that are into the simpler set ups or mainly discuss juice flavors, etc! After you reach 5 posts you can post in all the different sections. It is an intimidating amount of information, but it's fun too!! Just take your time.. all the answers to your questions are here! You'll quickly get the hang of it and start to realize that it's all not as complicated as it seems at first.

even us people with "big guns" are here for the support of others. when getting people to switch this is the first place i try to send them so they realize what they see around town is just a small percentage of the real vaping community.

many of us here, even after settling in or looking for more complicated toys to play with like to be around like minded people who enjoy and understand vaping.

I have gotten several people into vaping but they have no desire to go further then hey it works. So im alone for the gadgety or technical coolness and i stay here where people actually understand WTH im talking about.

you will find many people here are friendly and a lot of us know each other well. there will always be someone willing to answer your questions no matter how silly or redundant it seems.

relax, sit back, enjoy the ride................. your now among friends who understand and have probably been through everything you can imagine :D

I got a lot of use out of an ego-T, but I really started to only like it fresh off the charger. The ego type batteries have an output voltage that degrades rather quickly. When I switched to my first mod, I didn't notice the degradation until right before the battery needed to be changed. I also started liking an increased Power/Watts and Energy/Volts output, being able to decide if the power comes in all at once or gradually, checking resistance of coils without taking them off and using a multimeter, and keeping track of my batteries capacity. Not only is there all of that, but it just looks sexy.. I get the vibrator comparison a lot, but those people are just jealous.:)

Its been a month for me with no analogs......I still prefer the ciggy type with carthos. As long as it does the job.
Besides, I see that mod building stuff heading to a guy hauling around a 55 gallon drum of E-Juice with a car battery on top, a garden hose for a mouthpiece and a rather large red wagon to haul it all around.

I'm not sure how difficult it will be to order supplies from the U.S. but here are the companies I do business with:

For batteries and cartomizers: Vapor4Life.com
For Do-It-Yourself E-juices: Wizard Labs.com

So far I really haven't had a reason to go beyond these two companies. I use the Vapor-Zeus large battery, tanks, Smilomizers (made especially for the Vapor Zeus, 3.5ml and 6.0ml sizes) and tanks. I'm sure there are other good products out there but the customer service from both of these companies is fantastic. Wizard Labs has had some stocking issues but I believe it was due to moving to a bigger facility to handle the increased demand for their products. Vapor4Life has always been great to me. If I received a defective cart (it happens) or any problems they would ship me a new unit no questions asked.

Good luck my friend,
