The intra-thread advertisements appear to be left-aligned instead of centered. Just a bit of an eyesore. Maybe take a look at the CSS (or god forbid you aligned with HTML only, lol)??

I second that, please. OTOH, it has occurred to me that their misalignment might be designed to call more attention to the ads.

Well obviously ads are annoying, but the site is supported by them and since I support the site, I don't mind viewing the ads. I am using IE at work, and so I don't have AdBlock from Firefox and such. But I think this "misalignment" is a bit of a bad way to call attention to the ads. It isn't aesthetically pleasing--although minor. A better way would be to have grey text to the left with the word: "Advertisement:" to call it out as it is. Though everyone should obviously know it is an advertisement to begin with.

I am using Firefox and they appear left-aligned. I think they need to take a second look at their CSS. I know browser's are a pain in the .... to code for all the exceptions here and there, though. Heck, if they put the CSS in Dreamweaver, they can run a browser compatibility check. Not sure if Dreamweaver can check Google Chrome though.

Hmmn, this is an odd one - I'm also using firefox, but the ads are center aligned on my browser.

We're using the software's native ad placement system, and there have been no edits to the templates as far as I'm aware.

Here's the code:

<div style="width: 950px; text-align: center;" class="page">

Can anyone spot what might be causing the issue?

Thanks,

SJ

We are definitely interested in resolving browser issues as they can be annoying, and potentially fixable if we know exactly what we are looking for.

For example we use Browsershots.org to search out issues for browsers we don't have. Since the possible total comes to over 50 just for the popular combinations (different browser versions + different OS versions), we can't get it right without assistance.

If you can let us know these details it will really help us to fix it:

1. Browser and version (to find the version, try going to the Help menu at top right >> About).

2. OS version (operating system) and update level - for example Win XP SP3.

3. A description of the problem.

4. And lastly - a screengrab is excellent as we can see exactly what the problem is. In some OSs you can get a screengrab via a native facility, otherwise we recommend PicPick - http://picpick.wiziple.net/?mid=download - which is a good freeware screengrab utility. Please set it to save as a .gif as this is the best / sharpest image where text is involved and a small filesize is required.

Let us have that info and we will try to fix the issue.
