Well here I am. My wife had been nagging me about quiting smoking now for 4years, 6months, and 6 days. How do I know? It's started when she gave birth to our son. We went to Austin to see our friends, and they were both smoking on ego's. Told me all about them, and let me puff on theirs. I came back to Houston and bought a Blaze brand kit, and a small bottle of Tabaco 24mg, total cost was $30. I figured even if I didn't like it, I blow more than that on stupider stuff, so let's give it a shot. Well I loved it. That was just over a month ago. I had been smoking for 22 years, and in 2 days, I had no urge to smoke again. I have cheated 3 times since starting this, and all 3 ti mm e's I couldn't me it but half way three a cig before I wanted the puke. I now have the sigelei legend, and I know a lot of people hate the waving to access the menus, but I love it. I have always been one to be different. Lol. I also have a 30b tank, a pro tank 2, and the tank that came with the mod. Well this is long enough already, but just wanted to say Hello! Look forward to reading into all of the knowledge here. Jack

Well good for you! And for your little son, and for your nagging wife and friends for getting you here!:) I've had essentially the same experience, started vaping, stopped smoking, just like that.

My guilty conscience and fears for my health are what made me decide. And I'm so glad I did.

Continued success to you!

Oh, and welcome to the forum.

Thanks, I really helps that I'm not having to go outside in these cold temps just to smoke as I have never smoked in the house. The closest I have ever been inside smoking was in my garage.

Also I do love the fact that I don't wake up and cough my lungs up at 5am wile getting dressed with my wife sleeping. I live that part more than anything, and so does she. Lol

I wouldn't call a few smokes cheating. Dead battery, out of liquid, phantom menace attacking your vape... Life happens always focus more on the smokes you've avoided than ones you've had. Here's another perk for you (as I lived in Houston briefly) when your stuck in traffic moving 5ft/hr your car won't be a dank stale smoke box with no air flow. You can vape away AND keep your windows rolled up!

Welcome to the club! I started with a simple e-cig from Green Smokes about 3 wk ago (have moved on from those and gave them to a friend who wants to stop smoking) and that was the end of smoking for me. I haven't even really had a craving (thankfully) except a "flash-by" yesterday when I was watching some TV show where a woman was smoking. For a second there, I experienced longing--but I just vaped some more French Vanilla and got by it. I think that if vaping helps you avoid even half the number of cigs you smoked in the beginning, you are still ahead of the game. Eventually, if you are like most folks, the positives of vaping will so outweigh the negatives of smoking (not even considering the health benefits) that you will never want to smoke again.

Welcome from a little bit North! Yeah the weather kinda sucks right now and the garage is way too cold to sit out there and smoke. Thank God and vaping, I don't have to fight that battle any more! Congrats on the quitting and now you have a group of new friends to converse with that know what you are doing for yourself and your family. The good thing is that your little one doesn't have to endure years of smelling you, your car and the garage for years. Mine did and after I quit, I understood what they were talking about. The car thing, I understand that one too. Keep after it and Happy Vaping!
