Just caught the vapors about a week ago, coming in with no intent to quit smoking tobacco. The first day of use, I smoked a real cig after and it just didn't taste like it did the day before. These e-cigs, to me are very much more satisfying for me(given a whole lot more puffs) and is pretty fun at the same time! The hit reminds my of these Eclipse smokes I use to buy a few years ago. After reading a lot of the posts over the week, I feel compelled to stop smoking real cigs. But what trips me out is that a lot of posters(no offense) here smoked multiple packs a day! On average, a pack lasted about 2 1/2 days for me... about 6 cigs a day for 15 years. Just turned 30, but many people look shocked because I don't look the part. I would love to continue hearing these comments as long as possible, so it's in my best to quit now(thanks to these little gadgets). I'm a gadgeteer, so this might be a downfall for me(lighter wallet). Also I'll have no real reason to carry my zippo anymore:(

Welcome to ECF! I've never really met anybody who used the Eclipse. It was here then gone. Looks like you were looking for this for a while. Being at 6 smokes a day might be pretty easy for you - except for the wallet. It can end up being a lot cheaper than even a pack every couple days, especially if you're not using your device much. Good luck and enjoy it here. Lots of cool people.

True story, J. I'm pretty sure the only thing I'll miss from my analog days is having a reason to hold on to a Zippo.. ;)

Totally agreed though. I picked up one of these bad boys about a week ago because I heart gadgets as well, and I'm slowly phasing out the real thing. I was a pack-a-day guy who's now down to about 3-4 a day. I usually hit the old schools right away when I wake up, but -- like so many here say -- they're starting to lose their appeal. At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised to be analog-free by the end of the week. Just ordered myself an eGo too! Who knew this whole vaping thing could be so fun and assist (at least in my case) in getting you off the real thing?!

Congrats on your find, and welcome. :)

You know there are people who are actively working on modding a zippo into a pv.

I know the feeling of getting "hooked" right off! I bought a KR808D-1 starter kit after hitting on one that a friend showed me. I never wanted an analog for the first 2 days and then, just out of curiosity, lit an analog and YUCK! Now, I have to be honest though, by the second weekend I succumbed to the nasty things, but couldn't get through a whole cigarette. Really don't know what made me want an analog, except maybe I wasn't getting enough nicotine. I purchased some juice in 24mg (was vaping 18mg as I was a 1-2 pack smoker) and noticed that my urge for an analog has since diminished. I am hoping to eventually drop the mg's of nicotine to zero at some point in time though! My only real problem with this new habit I have acquired is that I can't stop vaping and buying new flavors every week!! I've even upgraded to an ego and an ego passthru!! Saving money on buying analogs but spending MORE on juices, e-cigs, etc, LOL I'm lovin' it so much tho. Good luck with your new habit and hobby :)
