So I got mine today... it worked fine for a while and now every time I press the fire button it turns off and back on. Any advice?

bad battery connection, clean/sand/scrape both ends of your battery to a shiny surface then you'll be good. a light swipe of noalox on the freshly shined ends can slow down the oxidation. chances are the contacts in the mod are good because it's brand new but never hurts to check them too... if this doesn't solve it then it's probably a bad battery

So I tried cleaning and sanding contacts... then I remembered I have a brand new battery and tried it. Still the same issue. Then I thought it could be the bottom spring and sure enough it was. I replaced it with the spare and no more issues. The original wasn't set right in there.

Thanks!

Batteries can have slightly different lengths. They might have been using Orbtronics for testing which are longer than 65mm (more like 70mm), who knows. but if you give the the original spring a little pull and increase it's length by a 5mm or so, would probably get that one working. Or, just leave it as is, as it's working now!.

Edit:

Come to think of it, my original spring would stick in the spring hole, On the first day I got it back before christmas I remember that now. I took the spring out and manipulated it a bit so that it wouldn't stick in the spring hole anymore. No big deal, not all springs are created equal LOL.

Well. I just sent Jon an e-mail telling him that this was my final attempt at eliciting an order status or any response to my e-mails. They charged my credit card on the day that I ordered the Futura (Jan 30), but that's the last I've heard from them. So I told them that all they need to do to satisfy me is to communicate my order status by Tuesday evening. And if not, then I'll contact my credit card company to initiate a disputed charge claim. I'm utterly frustrated. I think I've been more than patient and polite. What the hell else can I do?

On Feb. 27 Jon said my unit would be built this week and shipped in a couple days thereafter. The week is up today. I sure hope to have a shipping notification by mid week or .......

I'm right there with you. I got an email from Jon on the 26th stating mine would be sent out "some time next week." Well, that week is all but up and still no sign of a shipping notification. *drumming of fingers*

I have an issue with my futura. The battery seems to Last less in it than my other dna 20 devices. I'm using brand New aws.
But now it started to show a new problem, the mod is not recognizing Any atomizers. It keeps giving me the message. "Check atomizer".
All of the attys seems to be working on my Provaris and my Hana Mod.
I contacted Jon and he sent me this solution: "That's a problem with some of the earlier ones. We have a permanent fix, but what you can do is, take a screwdriver, place it on the center post screw, and tap it down a few times. Usually fixes it right up."
I tried using both of the screws, still getting the same "check atomizer" message.
I'm very frustrated as I waited a long time in line to get this mod and even longer (1 month) to be delivered in Brazil.
Is there anyone there that can help me?
Thanks!

I'm anxiously awaiting my chance to order another Futura this time a DNA30! What colors do you guys have? I have the standard titanium now, thinking either the black or the aluminum silver?

I received my DNA20 Futura about a week or so into January (ordered in November). First was a titanium and so is my second. I don't need flashy colors. The fit and finish is great on mine plus it feels great in my hands. It might help that if I change my mind I can cerakote it myself considering I do it myself on some of my firearms. That being said, since I am a firearm enthusiast, I KNOW the finish can stand up to a beating. It was a big selling point for me. If they thought of that then IMHO they have their s**t together…they just need help in the customer service aspect.

That's cool that you could coat it yourself. How would you though? Wouldn't it get on the screen? I don't think it can be disassembled? (By us - the users)

I like the titanium, but I think the black one looks very cool. I'd like to see a picture of the aluminum silver (or whatever they called color). Wondering if it looks like metal?
